nice video, as long as you are not responsible for anything enjoy it. I flew from 2003 to 2012, broke my leg once, but now with a family, kids, i think it's no longer responsible to fly, unless i was making money from it. Paragliding is a nice experience.

Very nice video! I have had a very similar experience. I was sooo afraid in the beginning. Made 300 sloperides before I stepped up the mountain. 7 years in now and still afraid of heights, but not as much in the air anymore. You should let your girlfriend try and see if it's for her. Now my whole family is flying and we enjoy it so much. Keep on flying and be safe! 😁👍❤️

Super cool video ! 😍🤙🏼 i had my first paragliding lesson 2 days ago and yesterday after 1 hour of groundhandling already my first solo flight from 200 meters, it was super scary, because i never ever flew before, not even tandem 🙈 But after a minute i realized, the more i relax and trust, the easier it get's 😊 And as you said " trust the gear and your skills " 🪂🙏

Cool video. I started paragliding 4 years ago not thinking I had a fear of heights, until that first high flight, then I realized I did have a fear of heights but that is just a natural human fear. In time after learning to trust the gear and my own skills I learned that the ground is the only thing that can hurt me so staying as far away from it as possible is the best thing. I fly in the mountains, we usually spend a large portion of our flight 2,000’-3,000’ above the ground, or even higher if the thermals are good and now I love having as much altitude as I can get. Only thing that scares me is when I hear an airplane or helicopter but I can’t see it, that’s a little scary, I just hope that they are paying attention and that they see me.

This resonated with me. I have a fascination with flying (aircraft and paragliders). My aversion for heights is still there - most times. I have learned now to suppress it. Hats off to you
@Beiunsshepherds2 ай бұрын
Hey! While creating this film, we were cliffjumping once in a while and boy, it was crazy standing there and looking down. However, we took the time to really feel what this fear feels like. Without intending to jump. Just stand there and actually watch the fear while trying to relax. It helped a lot also for me (Oliver) to be more comfortable with the height. In essence, it should be more about getting used to and feel it instead of surpressing. Does that make any sense to you? 😅
@Dozsa-Gyorgy2 ай бұрын
Thank you! So nice to read this. I can imagine it’s the two sides of the same thing. I mean maybe the fascination is there because of the aversion. But what is sure you can always choose which one you want to listen to. 😉

Nice video. I would strongly recommend to wear some proper boots, specially in the type of terrain you are dealing with. I know the area of your videos, and although it is hot, I would be wearing long trousers and long sleeves too: terrain like to bite your skin. Safe landings! (A pinch of envy from a bad weather season here in Scotland, while I wait for a flyable window to arrive.)

Like an airplane, if done correctly with appropriate training in the right conditions, paragliding is quite safe. Of course, you're more at risk of an accident than if you stay at home, but also more at risk of having less fun memories. Many pilots in my club are over 60, I think you should at least try it (with a school) and see for yourself.

I'm 62, got my hang gliding license in 2015 and paragliding license in 2021. Go for it, it is amazing. Suggestion, once you've trained, buy yourself an EN-A wing and stick at this level. Eg, Ozone Alta. Modern EN-As have plenty of performance, more than enough to have a total blast, truly. Go for it. Ask your son's opinion about my advice 👍 Go for and enjoy bro.

If you don’t have some fear as a paraglider you’re not really aware of what can happen if you screw up. Everyone if they fly long enough will hurt themselves. I’ve been flying 40 years hang glider and para. Professionally and for fun and adventure in more places than I can remember. Both ankles, my back and shoulder broken. Calm is the way even when you crash! Lovely video and great vibe. Ask anyone who’s been in the sport long enough and they will tell you that fear is respect for the awesomeness and freedom of what we do.
