Tip from my dermatologist: Try a tiny bit of new face products on the skin near your underarm; it's a sensitive spot, and if you have a slight reaction here, you're not walking around with it all day on your face. You had a lovely day!

Your weird cafe experience was so relatable! The calculating your own bill thing happened to me and my friends every single time we went out to eat in Edinborough!!! We were a large group of like 8, so it was an eternity for us to all figure out our prices. They didnt offer a calculator either, we just did it on our phones. It was quite terrifying for me! In America, they split your bills for you and you just pay like you would if you were alone. Even the tip is usually payable by just selecting the option of whatever percentage you want to pay, so you don't even have to calculate that the majority of the time.
@karolinabesler40802 жыл бұрын
I was so confused by this situation. I'm from Europe (Poland) and I have never ever experienced something like 'calculating your own bill'. They usually just split the bills and you pay them separately. It's all just very weird to me because I kind of feel like it's not my job to count how much I have to pay, it's the service job if you know what I mean.

Newbie fan from Japan here! So jealous of anyone who is joining Christie next May for trip in Japan as I can truly see it is going to be a magical trip with her, just by seeing her vlogging. Just wanted people to know that planning a trip from 7th to 13th May is a perfect choice, as a week before that is a so-called Golden Week where multiple national holidays are bundled in a week and it is going to be crowded everywhere.

Hey! I have the skin type similar to yours and I've found out that using oil cleansers washes away your skin's defensive barrier more than other cleansers. And my skin would be over sensitive and react worse to other products. Now I use gentle gel cleanser. Just thought it might help:)

another great video. May I ask a question, how long did it take you to write a year in tokyo before you published it? Also, happy November! also got a new fantasy book! I love star wars movies and tv series, they always do then so goood! My favorite jedi are, Kit Fisto, Eeth Koth, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda (who doesn't love Yoda? I'm convince that he really doesn't need that walking stick, I think it's just for people to underestimate him) Ahsoka, (she is so well written and has amazing character development) Shakk-Ti and Kanan Jarrus

Hey Christy! If you ever want a really great recipe for gluten-free banana muffins (which I was inspired to think of after your banana bread), just ask! I was gluten-free for 10 years and I have an amazing recipe that requires absolutely no xantham gum. Do you have access to Kinnickinnick flour there in Australia? It's the main brand of flour my mom and I use, and I think it would improve your gluten-free baking experience by quite a lot!

I hate maths, I have so much anxiety with it. Like, I just have so much fear with it because the number of times my dad would scream at me if I didn't calculate correctly. If someone asked ME to work it out I would be like "it's your job?" and like I've worked cashier jobs before so I understand how annoying it is to split stuff especially considering the system we had was an old POS. But like, man I would've been so frustrated. I would just end up paying for both and ask for the receipt or something. Edit: Also, those bushfires were no joke. I remember the smoke affecting me and my partner in SE Victoria. Like, it never got too bad that we had to evacuate but like, my partner has asthma and I'm fine but even I remember getting really bad headaches because of the smoke.

Ok the calculator thing is so weird. I’m American, and while tipping is everywhere and stuff. I’ve seen math times tables on the receipt, assumed percentages (which is rude) and etc… but I’ve never seen anyone have the absolute audacity to hand me a calculator. 😂

Hi, Christy! What do you think about the last two seasons of Stranger Things? I personally loved the first two, but I feel like the last two were not the same quality in terms of writing. The characters felt very shallow to me and the story seemed very repetitive and a bit pointless at times. I did love the new character, Eddie, but the sotylines of most of the original cast were a little disapointing to me. I wonder what your opinion is, because I often resonate with your point of view about writing and when a story is well written or not, and I see a lot of people loved seasons 3 and 4, so that's why I ask. Thanks and sorry about any english mistakes, it's not my first language. xo
@Sthemingway2 жыл бұрын
Excitement over (functional) pockets will *never* get old. The only kind of calculations I can do on the spot is how much something is with a discount from a trick my trig teacher taught in 11th grade. For instance, original price is $29.99 with a 30% discount. That mental math monologue becomes, "Okay, so that's 3 x 7 = about $21 plus tax." If it's 25% off, then the monologue is, "3 x 7.5 or almost 8 = just under $24 plus tax." Any other kind of math is not happening in real-time in front of other people (even with a calculator). Math teachers need to simulate real-life environments...get the drama club kids to role-play impatient retail workers and chaotic customers.

I thought the same about Andor. It's soooo good and yet I've barely seen any marketing or hype for it (compared to a certain other recent program with the largest budget in history and tons of hype that was absolute GARBAGE!!). Rogue One, which also has Cassian, is one of my fav star wars films. It's got such a different vibe, like Andor, than other star wars content.
