In what way ? I suffer from constant discomfort in my bladder since a year after a traumatic event, I have anxiety and fear, can this meditation help me to heal ?

Such a great powerful meditation. I only follow it for one week and today I experienced a glimpse of the wonderful feeling I love myself - I am still crying out of thankfulness to Thay for this moment. Thank you.

40 years ago, we sponsored 3 vietnamese boat people in New Orleans in part because of Thay's writing. Met him briefly in CO. Hearing his voice is a blessing.

I learnt about Dear Thay’s teachings at the beginning of a severe illness 4 years ago. His book “Peace is Every Step” learnt me "everything" back then. I am forever grateful for all your teaching, books, talks, meditations, movie and more. I carry goodwill in my heart always for Thay, his health and everyone at Plum Village!

Observa la respiración en la punta de tu nariz. Como entra y sale el aire. Y baja tu atención al abdomen... Inhala y exhala, disfruta. Regresa al momento presente Inhalar y exhalar. El momento presente es maravilloso Inhalar exhalar. Practica este ejercicio en todos lados y en cualquier momento Cuando preparas tu comida O cuando caminas. Cuando te acuestas.

Hello to the Plum Village. I come back to this particular meditation over and over again. It has become very meaningful to me and is now my favorite meditation. But I am having a hard time understanding what he says about the present moment in the last part of the meditation. He begins to explain how good it will be for those who say it a lot. But I have played it many times and just can’t understand what he is saying. That part begins at 30.00 on the video. Also, is there a book he has written where he put these “thoughts” to think during meditation? That would be very helpful as sometimes I have a hard time discerning what he says because of his accent. I have been on my own trying to learn to meditate and Thich Nhat Hanh has been the most helpful out of all of the books and videos I have gone through. I am hoping to take classes after my surgery. I have been waiting a long time to do so. I just discovered a sangha in the next city who uses Thich Nhat Hanh’s philosophy, which makes me very happy. Thanks for sharing so much of his meditations and talks here on KZbin.

Sherry Hsu, I have 2 more questions. I don’t usually go on Twitter or any of the social networking sites. However, this afternoon I went onto Twitter in order to write a letter to someone. Then I checked to see if Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) is also on Twitter. It looks like everyone in the world is. But I see that Thay recently was able to go back home to Vietnam. Will he be there now permanently? And can you tell me why he’s in a wheelchair?

Should you say the words (in/out) in your mind while you are breathing or should you just be mindful on your breath? How is this done correctly?

I'm no expert but what I understand is, the words are there for a bridge.... between the usual state of a mind too full of words, towards a mind that is free of words.

Se que muchas de sus disertaciones han sido subtituladas en español ( gracias a eso pude conocerlo) Cómo apreciaría que esta meditación también lo fuera !! Igual la hago, pero se que se me pierden algunas cosas. O quizás algún alma que pueda, sepa y quiera se anima a hacer una traducción completa y fidedigna. Si fuera así desde ya mil gracias !!! Me comprometo a compartir esta meditación con gente de habla hispana.
