Oh myself also. Wish there was a person I could actually speak / reply into. I'm so very old now and my friends and wife are no longer By my side... Sometimes with a 1 oz shot of whiskey I return to this book. I listen every night. It's the only place that I can go to where I can find thoughtful Ideas From the hearts of loving people and and my long lost little Dog Ruby , And the Courage of her little Puppy Bear , my son , that Crushes my Soul because Im no longer can find them after I got out of the Hospital. Truely I wish that there was a Wizard I could ask for Forgiveness for Losing them.

A magnificently narrated story. A far cry and a cut above the 1939 movie. Not a criticism of the film but a tribute to the spoken tale and all the nuances in each characters development. I have been spinning yarns and oral history and relish the facial reactions and questions a well told narrative can generate.I love listening to these stories.😢

The original book, THE WIZARD OF OZ, was published in 1900. The original storm WAS a cyclone. In 1939, the movie changed it to a tornado. Don't troll in ignorance.
@ShawnTaylor-mw9tr Жыл бұрын
Well if you say so but given that cyclones are a tropical storm originating over warmer oceans and Kansas is in the middle of "tornado alley" or the dry mid west it certainly makes more sense that Dorothy would presumably be caught in a tornado... But I really couldn't care anyway. I thought it was crap ... Enjoy
