I was going to say this too. I really respect that you talk to the locals and even play with them. You even trusted one of them to hold your camera, you didn't let Moroccan brashness and outspokenness intimidate you - you just saw us as people and I appreciate that.

Excellent video. I just got back from a tour of the 4 Moroccan imperial cities and Fes was my favorite. Such rich history including one of my favorite pieces of history, Al-Karaouine. The first university in the world founded by a Muslim woman, Fatima al-Fihri. It's the birthplace of the arabic numeral system and algebra.

You left out one notable fact! Fez was actually founded by both Jews AND Muslims who were kicked out of Andalucia in Southern Spain by the inquisition etc. As a Moroccan Jew myself, the legacy of Jewish-Muslim coexistence in Morocco is a point of deep pride for many Moroccans and a very important fact.

Great production. I spend each winter in Morocco. This is a great place to purchase hand painted ceramic wash hand basins. Small ones US 15 each. Fez ceramic is safe for travel if well protected as extremely hard. Please exercise caution after dark in Fez and Casablanca and you will love it there.

No Uber but you can download Roby as it's equivalent. Keeps the taxi drivers honest. Still have to pay cash at the end of the trip. If the app acts up it still at least give you an estimated price in case you have go old school and ask a taxi off the street.

Morocco and mountainous North India is quite similar: city structure, people look very similar especially when compared to parts of the Indian states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Social dynamics and economies also look quite similar from what I can make out of the video Only major difference: Religion - Morocco is majorly Islam whereas Hinduism is more widespread in India I have had Moroccan friends in grad school: amazing folks and always up for fun Love from the US and India🇺🇸🇮🇳

Yeah taxi drive for a somewhat not too long ride would be like 7 DHS maybe 10 max, if it's a bit far you could pay like 15 dhs

there's no way I'm going without a full pack film crew following me. and I'd lose the music ear plugs: you'll want all your senses, including on the rail.
