You return to the same one every year because it has a perfect view past the little island to the lodge at the far end of the lake, and a perfect clearing above it for stargazing. You settle in just as the sun fades to a watery gold and then sinks behind the hills, leaving behind a peaceful blue night. The breeze coming off the lake is cool, but only a few feet back in the forest the air is still mild and fragrant with the smell of sun-warmed pine needles. You build a fire and start whittling a roasting stick. The gentle rippling of the water seems to harmonize with the songs of the crickets hiding themselves in the trees. Tomorrow will be an exciting day-your tackle box is packed and the canoe is ready to go for some fishing, then maybe a swim, a hike, an afternoon nap, a game of cards while the fish is frying. You lean back in your chair, full of contentment and anticipation. The stars above you are twinkling so brightly it takes your breath away; out here in the dark you can see thousands of them. Out of the many different fire/nature sounds I've tried, this one just sounds the best to me. The fire isn't too loud, the chirping of the insects, and peacefulness of the water hits just right. Plus any time I look at the actual video, it reminds me of better times in my life. Thanks for creating this.

This video made me emotional. I grew up in the beautiful PNW camping and hiking with my dad (now passed) and this reminded me of him and my childhood and is so comforting and soothing to my soul. This is the perfect setting for relaxation calmness and serenity. I put it on and my husband came into the room and we sat and just had our coffee and watched this perfect scene that we often dream about. I couldn’t have created a more perfect fantasy setting… I love all the details including the axe and the firewood, the buffalo plaid shirt, hat and canteen hanging on the tree… hot coffee by the fire….the crickets and owl sounds… absolutely loved the UFO… this will be our “go to” relaxation station for a long time! You never cease to outdo yourself. The level of detail is just superb. That national forest sign is exceptional and those throws on the chairs remind of Pendleton blankets or something I would pick up at a trading post. This reminds of a lake up in Olympic National Park or one that I used to visit at Rocky Mountain National Park. Great memories!

I absolutely LOVE this one! It reminds me of my summer trips into the woods to visit my aunt. While it was a somewhat bitter reminder, because she is no more, it made me want to visit her old house again, since my father inherited it. This is good for me to listen to and watch. Because of the drought in the Pacific Northwest, there are no campfires and many areas are closed to use. My friends family owned a cottage on Squam Lake up in New Hampshire and this brings me back to those late night cookouts. We'd make the trip up from Connecticut a couple times in the summer and fall every year. They ended up selling the place a few years ago. Charcoal grilling lakeside, with music and a bon fire man do I miss those days. Someday when I'm ready to buy a house, I'll definitely be looking into lakefront property.
