As for me, "ll" in Welsh sounds very similar to the same letter combination in Icelandic. Thanks a lot.

Nid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus, Aur y byd na'i berlau mân: Gofyn wyf am galon hapus, Calon onest, calon lân. Calon lân yn llawn daioni, Tecach yw na'r lili dlos: Dim ond calon lân all ganu Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos. Pe dymunwn olud bydol, Hedyn buan ganddo sydd; Golud calon lân, rinweddol, Yn dwyn bythol elw fydd. My arrangement of the sheet music directs the singers on parts two and three to sing the sound "w" in one place and "dw" in another. Am I right in thinging "w" is "ooo" and "dw" is "doo?"

@@corochick100 Thanks so much! As a guy with a Welsh-origin name (but who, sadly, can't get his own line earlier than about 1800), I'm really happy to have heard Colon Lan in concert here in Texas. I love the meaning of the lyrics and I'm intent on helping my own young people's choir learn and cherish it.

@@billowens2378 Love the typo!!! I may write a whole new song!! But so happy to hear you are spreading the language and such a lovely song x You may be interested to learn that I am only Half Welsh and speak no Welsh at all but, as a classically trained singer, am well versed into learning the correct pronunciation of any language and I do have Welsh friends who are able to help me in the correct pronunciation x I am so happy you find this useful x

@@corochick100 Oops.. Sorry I misspelled Calon! That's kind of embarrassing, what with all my praise of the song! Appreciate your help with the questions.

Different pronunciations I've heard: Tecach [yw] yw -> ee as in cheese na'r lili [dlos] dlos -> oo as in book a chanu'r [nos] nos -> oo as in book --- Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video. It had so many helpful tips and nuances! What are the chances you could do a similar video for the first verse? The "nyd wyn gofyn" one? I humbly request this

I’ve never heard those pronunciations myself. Do you mean as in different versions of the song or in the Welsh language in general? “Nos” & “dlos” should both sound like the “o” English “north” Also, “y” can be “ee” or “uh” but “yw” should be “ew” because it’s got the “w”.
