Most American men with middle class to above incomes, would be able to live pretty good in Thailand or the Phillipines. Even if Thailand cost more then the U.S. I would still rather live in Thailand as a single man.

Living like a *KING* in Manila for $2,500/month. Straight truth. I'd need to spend MORE to simultaneously hold down my condo AND travel inside the Philippines. But, my lifestyle is *RIDICULOUSLY* good - - - and includes - - - *EVERYTHING.* BUT, I'm still working - - - remotely. Blessed. Thanks for all your solid content too Shoulders.

Reality: you need money, and the love in most case is more caring/affection. These ladies are looking for stability and someone that can take care of them. Nothing wrong with this but all of these foreigners should be very much aware of this. Another great video Calvin

Been living pretty good with my BetterHalf for years on $1K plus. We even go out to dinner and drinks about once a week. We don't support her kids or any family. They're responsible. Fortunate to have a nice duplex at 6K/mo. That's been my rent at two different locations for over 9 years.

Yup be with a woman who's not the age of your daughter or granddaughter be with someone who is around your age Especially if your over 50 And be with a woman who works and is responsible and wants someone who can be there for them It's possible to invest in things there to help provide For your family even be humble to open a sari sari, buy tricycle motorcycle, or property and even livestock If your humble and ready to live a simple life

Gentleman, “Live like a King” is what we call hyperbole (high-PER-boh-lee) meaning; an intentional, obvious exaggeration to emphasize a point or create humor in story telling. Also known as, a figure of speech, NOT meant to be taken literally. Ex: “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse,” or as Elvis sang “I feel so lonely I could die.” Final note, next time someone says, you can live like a king in the Philippines with little money, what they’re actually telling you is that things are more affordable, less expensive than back home, that’s all. The only King is Christ Jesus and maybe boxing legend Manny Pacquiao 😊

The dream of getting a cute young cooperative woman for the 4th quarter sounds nice(though I doubt it). But the idea that I have minimal rights over there(can't own land, liars legally conning me out of my money because they know the rules better than I do, and the same "believe the woman legal system) kills my enthusiasm for trying it. But I listen to your videos as your concepts apply universally as I look for my retirement spot.

Based on what is said here, it's as if a relationship in the Philippines, for a foreigner, is ultimately an ongoing 'worker-client' relationship, where you continue to hope that you are her only client, and that she is not providing 'free samples' to the younger locals.

Well do you want want a woman who works 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week for 200-300 usd a month in wages. You are over there and your income may easily put you into the zone of being rich. So the woman is partly motivated by wanting a better lifestyle and helping her family. Also if they are really attracted to you they have also want your babies and may talk about that on the first or second date. If she doesn’t want babies with you she most likely just is with you for money.

A couple of you guys said you can’t live on 1k per month and it’s not true. Everyone may not be able to do it, but I live very low budget even though I make good money. My cousin passed away last year in Angeles. He lived downstairs from me in the same brand new apt bldg in Mountain View. He had his own 2 br apt. The rent was 8k per month. He could have had a studio for 6k per month. Electric was 2-3k per month and water is still 352 pesos per month. I still live there. Been there since march 2022. My cousins only income was 879 per month from social security. We drank and hung out at paradise, kokomos, and other bars every single day. He paid his immigration fees, he bought his cigarettes and hygiene , and still saved money. When he died he had 100,000 pesos in his apt. He died in April 2023, so we had lived there about 13 months. This was the first time he actually lived on his own and had his own money. It was also his first time living outside the US. His gf and two kids lived with him until about two months before he passed. I’m not telling anyone to come there to live on a low budget, but I am telling you it’s very easy to do and still have fun everyday. If you want to live the same way you live in America it’s probably not possible. In march I’ll have lived in the same apt 3 years. The rent is still 8000, my water is still 352, my electric is higher because I have two aircon units, and it’s between 3 and 4k every month. I have a stove and the gas cylinder is 1100 pesos about every six or seven months. I spend close to 5k for groceries every week. I don’t use public transport because I bought and ebike for 43,000 last year. You can live how you want in PI. The phrase live like a king is yours to define. If you’re not used to getting massages everyday for 6 dollars or having a woman feed you at the table, then you might feel like a king here. You’ll definitely be in charge in your apt or home. Definitely come and try the place out with an open mind, and don’t be so generous with your money right away. Move around and find a city that you feel comfortable in. If you can’t enjoy yourself in PI try Thailand.

You can live on $1k a month, but not well. My rent is about $315, and it's for a nice, two-story house in a nice subdivision. With that, food, water, internet, electric bill, visa renewals, *and* two kids, I spend about $1,400. A chunk of that goes to my kids alone. However, if I want to go out and do all the things I like to do -- if I want to live it up -- I spend a lot more.

I can’t say that I feel safer, especially walking the streets. But I can certainly say that I don’t feel challenged at every turn like I do back home. Even at the gym everyone’s bowing out to impress everyone else. Here, it seems to me that I’m the most threatening person in most places I go, even the gym. I don’t challenge or try to impress, I open up a conversation with most people encountered. So I DO feel more relaxed from a self/partner/kids protection stand point.

I actually feel safer back in my US suburb, but I've never had a problem here. Unfortunately, I know Filipinos and expats who've been robbed at gunpoint and more. A Filipina friend's 5-year-old daughter was violated (I think YT doesn't like the "r" word) in Quezon City a couple of months ago.
