If you're not going to major in a hard science, then going any college would be a waste of time and money. Caltech has the best computational mathematics program in the world.

Well, i dont know, maybe because it is a prestigious science school, so maybe it will be a bit difficult to get into that schools, i mean like i dont know that much about colleges and university since im still in highschool but i know that the competition is pretty hard, so im just saying there is a big possibility that your kid didnt make it
