Caltrain in the past and future

Since August 11th, Caltrain is in the transition from their old diesel trains to new electric trains until the full launch on September 21st. Here in Lawrence Station we can see the transition in action with both the diesel and electric trains stopping and passing the station. Along with some Union Pacific action!

Crazy to watch the changing of the guard, and how it will change suburban rail in the West Coast, mostly for the better. I do wish, that the mixed service ran just a little longer, as I don't have a chance to see it in person, or hear the horns on the F40's and Gallery Cars one last time.
