I am Navajo American and I remember back in the days of President Bush. I could not bring myself to hate him for the policies of the time. Sure, I was like 5 and he left in 2009. I did learn of the importance of the Code Talkers from family. I remember being in a town called Shiprock where there was a parade and when afloat drove by which had Code Talker veterans. I have never seen so many Navajo people collectively stand up, parents demand the children listen, and see several drunks stagger to stand up. Then I found a recording my Grandpa made with his VCR. It was the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony, I found in 2006. I am proud of these men and I hope I can contribute to the Navajo people my own way in the years to come.

I've read in one place there were other tribes with code talkers.
@casestudy213 жыл бұрын
Yes, there were other tribes but the Navajo language was used because the majority of young men under the age of 18yrs old were Navajos and gave their honor to serve for their lands. The code was smoother, quicker, and with more precision to coordinates and enemy lines using the Navajo language. The codes were codes in itself... shícheii served, not one of the original but a code talker at 16 years old. Heard these stories from shímasani....
@tm13tube3 жыл бұрын
For those readers who haven't known this maybe you have the same misunderrstanding I had. I thought these brave men talked in Navajo but it wasn't that simple. They developed a code from the Navajo language. The code was two levels of encryption. It was Navajo language which is so challenging to learn with its duplicate letters and an abundance of diacritical marks. Next the Code Talkers used their language to create a code. A gun was not the Navajo word for gun. It was a Navajo word they chose to stand in for gun. A tank wasn't the Navajo word for tank. It was the Navajo word for turtle. Brilliant. Please let me know if there are inaccuracies. My goal is sharing accurate historical information.
@o.joei.b99293 жыл бұрын
Shut up you idiot. As a NAVAJO you should salute and thank these men for there SERVICE. Of course they ain't gonna know the real language. WHY CODE HASNT BEEN BROKEN. Jus because a white person said some wrong terms doesn't mean you should put trash on it.
@2k.glisten6133 жыл бұрын
@@o.joei.b9929 how are they trashing it?
@shiverarts82842 жыл бұрын
@@2k.glisten613 they use military line, to affect the meaning of the language. You have to think about the meaning rather than the language. There was no accompanying writing for the language up until the point when they became code talkers. This was a major transition for a lot of these language holders.

Vast difference between Bush and Trump Bush did a lot of talking, when he gave the metals only one saluted and smile the rest looked downward with a sad look. With Trump they did the talking it’s their story let them tell it they were there. The speaker told it from the heart not from a script at any rate there American heroes and they are not kneelers like the nfl
