A beautiful Scottish strathspey by the legendary Donald Shaw. I was first introduced to this beautiful composition by my friend and colleague Michael Burnyeat (fiddler and my duet partner). It is in two parts, like most Celtic folk tunes, and has lovely harmonies. Lots of minor seventh chords, sus2, and 'this-over-that' type of harmony. Lots of fun to play, particularly on my brand new Manfrini Artisan (96 bass, dry tuning, Sennheiser microphones).
