This is the story that 90% of us gay men go thru growing up, brings tears to hear it put so stunningly well into song..... Thank you for your reaction to this.

I love this song. Callum has said it was the song he wrote about his coming out. I love him. And I tell my 12 year old daughter frequently that I love her no matter what. Nothing she can say, do, be, or want could change my love for her.

Love Callum Scott , he has such a special tone in his voice and I love his dialect . He seems such a humble and gentle person ! His first performance with the song "Dancing On My Own " on Britain's Got Talent made me cry ( he was so shy and sweet ). Other great songs ( partly because of the lyrics ) are " You Are The Reason " , "What I Miss Most " and " If Our Love Is Wrong" .

The first time I heard this song I knew it right away from the very first lines, I mean it's clear from the lyrics "When I was a young boy I was scared of growing up I didn't understand it but I was terrified of love Felt like I had to choose but it was out of my control" 😁

I just love Calum Scott. Dancin on my Own is to die for and his first single post the Talent show is also amazing. This song is fantastic also. He integrates his experiences of coming out and dealing with being gay in such a beautiful and understanding way. Gorgeous! This song literally makes me cry it is so powerful.

I first heard of Calum Scott from Britain’s Got Talent. Then was fortunate enough to see him live in concert opening for Pentatonix a few summers ago. His stage presence was amazing and his voice so pure. And he was so humble and appreciative of PTX and the audience. He just seemed to have such a beautiful, peaceful spirit. I follow him on KZbin as well and love when he puts out new content. He has so many great original songs, but you have to check out his audition on BGT. His version of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” is GORGEOUS!!

The acceptance of the parents and that even though he is gay, they support him and accept him as he is, and in reality all of us are looking for that from our parents, that they accept us like we are and not try to change us to what they think is right

I'm crying, not sad, not happy, maybe melancholy. I grew up in the middle of last century in a large religious family. I knew they would struggle with my being gay, but I also knew, or so I thought, that they would love me no matter what. But they did not. I lost them all, lost my church, lost almost all of my friends. That was over thirty years ago. I have chosen family now, but I can't help longing sometimes for biological family ties. What would that be like. Like this video, I guess. But having lost so much and survived, how can I not also be happy for those who find love in their family post-coming out. Hopefully that will become more and more the norm, and I can celebrate such families vicariously. Harvey Milk taught us that coming out changes the world, and it did. But as the old saying goes, "A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they may never sit."

Beautiful story/song. (noticed your video didn't have that conclusion clip you usually add? )
@SuffiReax3 жыл бұрын
I do lots of experimenting with my videos to see what works and what doesn't so that I can constantly improve and I noticed in my analytics that sooooooo many people drop off as soon as the song is over that by the time that "end credit" bit would pop up, less than 10% of viewers were still there. So I cut it out in order to help shave off some length to hopefully help the "Watch time" percentages because those metrics tell YT if you have a good video or not. Same reason I haven't had the intro animation lately, everyone skips it and I am thinking that might affect my percentages and analytics. So ima test it and find out!

hey I commented when you said this was coming out and I enjoy it. just pulled an all nighter for no reason. loved the reaction and song. found a song by twenty one pilots called taxi cab I think you might enjoy it. also maybe you could do funny moments of some of the artists, you don't have to if you don't want to but it like wouldn't be copyrighted so yeah idk. enjoyed it : ) great reaction

He does play the piano and guitar. But I dont think he played it in this song. But most of his songs do feature a piano. Please react to You Are the Reason, Biblical and Heaven He writes all his own songs, btw.

Really enjoyed your reaction video. I personally think Calum's live performances of this song is so much better than the overly produced music video version. Yes, it's still a beautiful song but it's SOOO much better live. Not asking for a react to the same song but I think you'd enjoy this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGe6XoifgK2pptk
