Ok, this is now going to be the only way I will make fingerless gloves on my circular knitting machine! Your grafting instructions were so easy to follow, and the stretchy edge is just perfect. Your tutorials are really top-notch. You speak clearly and slowly, the camera angles are great, and you really know your subject matter! (When I first watch the videos, I’m tempted to cheat and maybe cut out some steps, but I don’t ~ the tips you include are what make the end result look so nice.) Thank you so much for this pattern!

Thank you, thank you 🙏🏻 Ive done 3/4 pairs of these now and even done a version with a few extra rows for the finger section, to make slightly longer, and shortened up the cuff section too (for my sons) The graft is fabulous and so easy to do. Great tutorial and you explain it so well 🤗🧶

How many rows total for the tube?
@clairehoffman34598 ай бұрын
This design does 45 rows total for each tube. For longer fingers I did an extra 10 rows then did my thumb hole (1.5inches wide) 3-4 inches in from the end seam 🤗🧶

just found you from recommended videos and I'm excited to try the grafting stitch - previously everything that I found was just to bind off using a larger crochet hook and even that has its limits on stretchiness

Wonderful, welcome! I hate things that are tight, so I have never liked the slip stitch ends. This is good for me, not too loose but still has stretch.

Oh no, I can see that. I'm not sure how to help since I can't do anything left handed. Does it help to turn the tube so the tail is coming off the left side?

I love this! Can’t wait to make them! I was wondering the best way to make thigh high leg warmers for the ballerina in my life! When I have her try on a long tube of the 48 sentro it fits perfectly but how can I make it tight up top to keep secure on her thigh? Should I crochet a few rows onto the tube? Which stitch you think would be best? Also the bottom as well…. My brain is hurting thinking about this the last week! Lol
@beccajodesigns9 ай бұрын
@LifeHacksbyStacy I'm not sure if you crochet also, but I followed this video to make the cuffs on my daughters leg warmers. It snugged them up pretty good and provided an interesting contrast. Best of luck with your daughters pair.

Hi Thank you so much for the tutorial. What if I want to make these gloves for my toddler grandchild do u cast on the same no of stitches?
@CalumetKnits8 ай бұрын
I would see how one fits. I'm guessing it would be too wide. You could always use a smaller machine, 40n. Or, you could make a flat panel. If you want to do this, I would make a sample and measure the width to determine how many needles to use.
@shehnazshaikh71928 ай бұрын
@@CalumetKnits thank you so much for replying. I don’t have 40 needles so as suggested will try making it with flat panel. Hope it works.

Instead of a drill, I use a 4v cordless electric screwdriver with lithium-ion rechargeable battery. At just $10-$15 (at Walmart, Harbor Freight, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.), I have 2 of them so that I can continue knitting while the other one recharges. Charges last for about 6-8 hrs of knitting. My drill stripped the gears ⚙️ of a knitter! 😣 Tooooo much torque & speed…
