Calum has always been my favourite bodybuilder. Got dealt one of the roughest hands I’ve ever seen and he got back out there. That kind of resilience is so rare. Always keeping you in my prayers man.
@nathanc777

Does it count as getting dealt a rough hand if you deal it to yourself? His injuries, accidents, legal troubles, and addictions were all due to decisions he made. That said I'm glad he's doing well and in a better spot.

I've never been into bodybuilding. I found Calum and started watching simply because he has always had such great energy and a great demeanor on life. I am so happy that he is doing well now. I hope for nothing but the best for him. Life is difficult and we all go through trials. This is why we should be merciful towards one another and help one another rather than judge and criticize.

Now that you're back, take some time to see a bit of San Diego. I'm 70+ and have been a fan for years. Come down and I'll take you for a nice bike ride around the beaches and bays. I have ridden a lot in Melbourne (lots of nice bike paths there) and I still ride 100+mi./wk now. We can go as far (and pretty much as fast) as you want to go. Best to you.

I was in Mexico last year and tore both quad tendons within 15 minutes of each other. I was stuck in a Mexican hospital for 12 hours. Then two airlines denied me a flight home because I was a risk not being able to bend my legs and in a wheelchair. My wife thought we will rent a car and drive home....I said it's a 47-hour drive and 20 of it through mexico, and we will never get to the border. Delta airlines said they would take us...thank you Delta...best airline ever...I had to take up 3 seats but only charged us for 2...hers and I. Then it was a month and a half of not moving from my recliner...pissing in bottles and having to hand wash myself...it was hell. I used a wheelchair for a month after then started walking with braces.....was off work not getting paid for 3 months. Dr. said he had never seen someone tear both at the same time. All I did was jump off a 10' high wall into the water. As soon as I pushed off it tore....than 15 minutes later when 3 guys helped me walk up a flight of stairs to the car, and the other one tore pushing off with my good leg.

Surgery was horrible, 6 nails clamped to my ankle, told me it would take 3 months to walk and 6 months to recover… month 3 i was running and squatting. For all of u that are going through a hard injury, hang in there. Depression can be real, but with the right mindset you can get over it 💪💪💪

Unless you’ve been at the height he has idk if you can really say anything about him. Plenty of celebs with money & the fast life in their hands have crumbled worse than him. Couple that with everything else i’d say thumbs up him for making it out. I personally haven’t dealt with half he has and life, work & mental fatigue put me at an edge i didn’t know i could get to. Life is hard and i salute anyone who goes through the ups & downs and comes around again with a smile.

I had the most insane 2018 ever which actually surprise ended with my dad dying and I feel like ever since that year I'm indestructible. My level of resilience is sky high because nothing can ever be worse than that. Looking back on things like that its easy to frame them as blessings in disguise. Any tragedy going forward is going to be dampened. Pushing one's limits earlier in life like this is a good thing. It sucks... but it's a good thing eventually.
