Not just one of the most rewarding things - it is literately the most rewarding thing. There is absolutely nothing that can even touch it. I was one of those people who wasn't even sure I wanted to have kids in my 20s, then when it happened and my firstborn came into the world I had a complete change. It was as if everything else in my life before that was just nonsense that didn't matter. If you've never had that feeling where you know your calling and you KNOW you'd take a bullet for somebody without even a second of hesitation - that's what having children feels like.

@@robertk49 People say "I don't want kids" far too easily. It's a major decision that shouldn't be taken lightly. It will alter the course of your entire life and often the realization that you've made a mistake comes later on in life as you get to your 30s and 40s. If that's the choice that you want to make I think you need to discuss it either with your partner or somebody else who knows you very well in serious conversation so that you explore the reasons and ramifications. I'd say that it's on the same level as deciding to euthanize yourself for some reason.

Calum, I am so encouraged, and inspired by these truly deep and valuable life lessons. I have also recently become a father, and although it is not easy, it is full of utter JOY! To find purpose in lifting others up feels so right and I believe we were designed for it. Surely we were made to live for not just ourselves, surely others' victories can be ours too, and surely we can bare others' burdens and sorrows with them. Find your happiness in something that can not be taken away, find it in the one who created you and who died for you. Remember there is power in his name, and his name is JESUS!

Been watching you for the past 8 years and when I say you’re an inspiration,it’s an understatement. Most people who find fitness as their outlet make it into their lifestyle. Not knowing that if that is ever taken from them the impact it will make on their well being. I’m 28 and since I was 20 I’ve had chronic pain. I’ve had a hernia surgery, A/C joint surgery and issues with most of my joints. Watching you on a public forum going through all these same injuries plus some has been a motivation to never stop trying, never give up, it’s only over when you quit. Your purpose whether you see it or not was to show thousands of other people who have experienced these same traumas what resilience really is. You’re the most open, vulnerable body builder/ influencer there is. You’re entire life is out on display for others to see and that says everything about your character. Nobody gave you a play book to life when you got the opportunity to come to the states and live a life 99.9% people don’t. Life is a constant lesson, as much as you’re growing and learning you have literally given thousands of people hope and belief because of your trials and tribulations. You are and will always be an inspiration. Love you brother, keep on keeping on

Calum! You are a blessing and an inspiration to so many around the world. I have been watching your journey from states, from the beginning of KZbin, to all of your competitions, from all of your rehab with Rex and the news about your son! Keep your head up man, life will chew you up and spit you out! But like you said it’s not the size of the dog, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. Keep pushing, this is all part of your story and the plan god has for you

As someone who also suffers from mental health issues. The gym has been a huge help to me and I think it's super bad ass of you to make a video like this. Us bodybuilding fans need to keep in mind that mental fitness matters as well. 🔥🤘

Nothing is more important than your kids. I sometimes miss my old bodybuilding physique, but as soon as my son comes to give me a hug, all those thoughts disappear. Being a father trumps everything in life.

In 2018 I woke up sick one night after starting to cut down weight. At that point in time I had been working out for 15 years and everything went down hill. Turns out it was my gallbladder and it had perforated and became gangrenous which almost killed me. Since then, I’ve had 7 surgeries and wound up with a gastric bypass last January so I can’t eat and workout as much as I used to. I too live with abdominal pain from all the surgery. Like you, I feel lost and it’s hard to navigate but I learned that if I can’t do what I used to do, what I want to do, I do what I can and that’s gotten me through my toughest days. Just keep your head up and do what you can and don’t be hard on yourself for not being who you were. Can’t wait to see what you do from here on out!

It's amazing to see him do way better and recovering. But it's also sad that he had everything to make it and now it seems to be gone. His body was something 99.9% of people will never have in their lives no matter what they do, he had charisma and everybody liked and admired him. But apparently he didn't have anyone close to him that cared enough to save him. Wish him the best.

Calum, I lost my older and only brother late 2019. It was sudden and unexpected as well, it does not get easier but you do just learn to accept things and remember all the good times and love that was and is still there. I know he is with you and watching over you, supporting you, Im glad to see you back.
