This fight is the definition of torture on solo legendary. I gave up and went for the cheese, under the stairs the 1st phase and over the dome on the 2nd phase. I understand people who try to fight as intended, but as a working father with very little time to play, the cheese worked like a charm. I might try your method some day, IF I can have enough time and actually build the patience required to do so. Great guide nonetheless. Subscribed.

@@FallenCpt You can hide under the stairs just before you walk up to him lol, then for 2nd phase you can get on top of the arena and rain hell from above. I only did it after spending almost an hour there, probably should've focused on ad clear more!

Lol funny thing is I made it to right here on legendary and this is the first time I'm learning about "shooting the shoulders off of the tormentors" I've had a hell of a time with them throughout the campaign lol... And solid choice with the load out, while campaign I ran heritage, le monarque, and commemoration 👍

Just beat him, took 36 tries but I don’t know why but it seems the devs wanted you to use strand for this fight. Cause when I used strand that’s when I beat calus. Great build and run though

Man my dumbass left the tormentors alive because they weren’t messing with me on first phase. Second phase I was just spam grappling hook because that shit was scary as fuck with both tormentors and the boss. Assassins cowl works really well too, Ima try wormhusk crown as well. Thanks for the vid!

No problem, and good luck! Definitely recommend taking out the tormentors as quickly as possible, it’s a hassle but it makes the right easier. The Agro in calus’s second phase is hard enough to deal with since bungie literally made it to where you almost HAVE to use Strands grappling to get a few shots in

A vorpal scout, wither hoard and a machine gun worked great for me. Just witherhoard and scout for dps and spam heavy ammo at tormentors and afd

Gg....my biggest issue was falling off the map. When you are on the map your grapple recharges faster but as soon as you start to fall it doesn't recharge at all

Yep. My biggest issue was the tormentors who kept diving at me. They’d launch me off the platform, suppress me, and everything slowed down as the sad music started to play. Thanks for watching!

Nice! I’d still recommend strand, I’m putting together a 5 min vid on what to do for warlocks and Titans since after playing the campaign i realized there’s a better way to go about it. Just gotta beat Calus on my warlock solo first haha

For my Titan, I used Witherhoard, and any other heavy grenade launcher that is legendary, and dunemarchers.

I used galley which helped a lot with mowing through his health really easily. And the sniper you get in the campaign to kill the tormentor things quickly, but the hard part is phase 2. Can’t get past it

Best thing to try on phase 2 is to go diagonal from the circular stumps with strand grapple. Calus second phase was made for that basically. If you need more help let me know!

Yes, but you’ll need to use the retrofit to take out the tormentors. Just do what I did in the video to deal with them. As for Calus, you should be using strand to grapple around. Second phase is much easier with witherhoard. All you have to do is jump diagonal from the circular stumps. My warlock vid shows the strat if you need to see it

Are you by yourself? They did nerf the super a bit, if it’s not going down all the way.... do as much damage as you can and then run back to the platform. You might have to deal with the torment first, but the second one won’t spawn until his health is down to a third. Let me know if you need more help!

I'm ngl, I feel like what I used was way more effective then this. But what I do like that you used is Strand. I didn't use that but now I can see how effective it is here. Weapon-wise though, there's better weapons to use here.

Arbelist takes out Calus's shield in one shot and about 6 crits takes out the tormentors or what ever those guys are called.

Makes sense! The only issue is the second phase, I recommend witherhoard as the easiest weapon to use to beat him. Made a vid beating both phases in under 7 minutes from it

@@FallenCpt I used a void hunter with Omni oculus chest. Just went invisible until my super was ready. But it probably took me 15 minutes. Maybe 20 to beat both phases. Had a hothead with vorpal too. Nice video.

Yep. They turned Calus into an elden ring boss lol. Definitely take out the tormentors before second phase, it’ll help you in the long run!

@@FallenCpt the part that you go under at the beginning, those are steps. That is why you can shoot through them. On playstation you cannot jump back out and actually get back above the platform.
