If you like shooter games,you should try Destiny 2. If you decide to start playing & have any trouble with the new player experience. Feel free to give me a shout & I'd be happy to help you through it. My Bungie ID is DaddyMo444#9840. I didn't play D1 & I regret it because I love D2 so much. Honestly the new player experience can be overwhelming. Because of this,I like to go to the Cosmodrome(it's where you start) & find new guardians. Then I'll take em through the 1st few missions & help em obtain some decent starter weapons. All while teaching them how to know what to do next & the basic mechanics of the game.

A note to add for a weapon that people probably do not remember. During the Warmind era of Destiny 2. There was the quest you had to do for Polaris Lance called Data recovery. Which for that you had to start out with a basic legendary Scout rifle called the braytech rwp mk. ii. Given this, you would then upgrade it to a masterwork version which, surprisingly gave it a magazine increase of one. After you got the Exotic version of the weapon, I am sure there are many who decided to just delete the legendary version of it. Given how the quest is no longer do-able, this version of the weapon as far as I am aware is no longer obtainable. So my version in the vault sits as a reminder of the vaulting of old content and different times.

I think i have a pretty rare item not many people have nowadays: Masterworked braytech rwp mk ii You get the normal legendary version at the start of the polaris lance quest, but you can only masterwork it by furthering the quest, NOT by normal means. I’m not sure if they even have the same stats and perks. Right now you can pull the normal legendary from collections, but not the masterworked version. The quest is long gone and with that the masterworked braytech rwp mk ii…

The method of obtaining the initial pristine armor set was actually posted on Reddit, not long after launch iirc... but most people didn't want to do it because of their characters' veteran status from D1. I actually did it after switching to PC when it launched a month later, since cross-save didn't exist yet, but deleted the set after a while.

Wonderful video. I am still an active player of destiny 1 on Xbox and there is still a small community on the lfg app and to this day I find myself playing destiny 1 with the same group of people I met years ago and slowly watching the number go up on D1 raid report. I still only use my two beta emblems or my pathfinder emblem from having a Bungie account before destiny released (halo era)
@MaximalGFXАй бұрын
I got the first 3 artist of the week emblems, and as far as I know, less than 10 people can claim to have all of them. A lot more people could claim this achievement a few years ago, but ever since Bungie cracked down on emblem sharing, only a handful of actual artists have them. Gammatrap is another person I know who also has all 3.

First of all, thanks for all the fun and highly informative destiny vids over the years! Really helped me pinpoint what loot was worth chasing and finally get some organization to what stays or gets dismantled. That said, I have kept various items over the years just to act as a sort of waypoint or memory for my journey through Destiny. A few notables that I held onto: The 0 power damaged armor for all three classes, plus the original weapons (for some reason Sorrow MG2 is not 0 power, but the damaged Traveler's Chosen and Stubborn Oak are). Fun note no 0 power heavy because Stubborn Oak was converted from Heavy to Special after year one double primary was changed. All three inaugural Revelry head armor (glows don't work when equipped anymore, but I confirmed they do still work for screenshots in preview mode). The special Solstice Majestic sets that let you not only change to the previous solstice ornaments, but also manually change glows, regardless of subclass (really enhances control of the rgb effects so you don't have to choose new shaders every time you switch elements). Also keep the OG Solstice ship equipped on my Hunter pretty much all the time. Kept at least 1 planetary material from each planet, as well as a few odd tokens, deprecated materials, and mods. Still have a prophecy weapon with an alternate element from the one in collections, void Traveler's Judgement 5, since it's one of the few weapons that you could change elements back in the day, but somehow dodged the update that reverted a bunch of others. Also have some old black armory weapons with the radiance slot (unfortunately the mod for the glow was purged from all of those shortly after sunsetting). Other mentions from the vid: Do have some umbral engrams on my Titan still. Held onto some of the old playlist vendor ones for a while when I went to playing mostly one character after sunsetting, but eventually started playing more again and decrypted them during an inv cleaning session. Same for the Legend of Acrius quest item. Held onto it for a long time, but with inventory space at a premium and eventually being able to unlock the real thing with spoils, I finally abandoned it (was annoying having an inferior piece of junk stuck on my favorite character at all times, only useful or convenient trophies for me 😅). Love the ode to all the charity initiatives at the end there. Whenever I'm just roaming the world I love having my little heart of gold (Empathic shell) floating next to me as a nice reminder. Thanks again for you and all the other helpful guardians who have made this community so wonderful to be a part of!

Theres one I think that's notabale that you missed, its in the same vain as the 0 power armor from storing armor from the red war. Instead of waiting until before ghaul kicks you off and you then get the damaged armor, you wait until after and your ghost has a completely unique animation, that's a hidden ghost shell. In your inventory it looks like an ordinary "Last City Shell (Damaged)" shell but it comes with the animation of looking like it went through Vietnam. I remember back when I started D2 I started some EDZ Scout Reports from Cayde and never got around to finishing them. I still have them to this day in the brand new season. Really highlights my procrastination problems 😅

Found this video on my feed today, never saw or knew about you or your videos. Well this topic intrigued me and decided to watch & I wasn't disappointed, kinda sad this is your last Destiny video. But I see tons to keep me occupied for awhile. Thanks

Amazing video. Being a D1 player this was a great journey thought D2. I was kinda one of those players that played and stopped for a little bit and came back. The amount of research I'm sure it took is mind boggling even more so the people that kept all the gear and rare stuff is even more puzzling as I would just delete everything...lol. But The stories people had as to why they kept them is great and this was a good journey back in time as I didn't know about some of it. I'm new to the channel and glad I came across your video (at work watching destiny vids) but should be working...cheers

I’m a 42 y/o dad…and a year 1 player. This video was incredible and really hit home for me and how I feel about the game and community. Great job sir

I've never played Destiny, always wanted to but my schedule was always chaotic and still is, so I never could jump on with anyone reliably. But the absolute sense of community has floored me, I love this community I was never able to be a part of.

The original Arcadia Jumpship from the vanilla Destiny 1 campaign acted in the same way! The ship you got was initially destroyed in the intro mission, but later in the mission it gets converted into a fixed version. To me, the destroyed version’s colors looked so much more vibrant. So, just like the guy in this video, I swapped my ship with a Destiny vault app before the mission “fixed” the ship, letting me keep the original Arcadia! Look up the differences online if you want to see. You can technically still obtain this, but even in its prime, it was an extremely rare ship to have.

I’m excited to see your talent and passion be put to good use else where I love the passion you have in your videos. The skill and talent you have is quite clear after watching one of your videos. I useally have a fixed mindset when watching a new creator for the first time but instantly it felt like I had been watching you forever can’t wait to see what you’ll be teaching/storytelling about next !!
