Pastor Paul, I just wanted to thank you along with the father and Jesus for these lessons. I am learning things I needed to learn. I sincerely appreciate it, thank you and God bless you and yours.

Yes. I did come to Jesus when I realized the emptiness in my life in spite of having everything I always wanted.

As said, self denial and self sacrifice are the real fulfilment in life. What a revelation Jesus gave us for free and by love.

I am slowly working my way through the Bible one chapter at a time and am so grateful for these sermons that I use as a compliment to my reading. Thank you for blessing the Kingdom by making these videos available

Its 2024... and I'm watching this video and everything you're saying about how the world has heavily influenced us to put ourselves first and constantly say yes to ourselves and just any form of self gratification..... Self denial is one of the key reasons why people avoid Christianity... people will always choose to serve themselves... and it's so scary..

Thank you. I am fasting for prayer and this allows me to understand a new level of fasting in how I reach out to God.

When they say that they want to be happy, people are actually speaking about themselves. This is what really is to be lovers of themselves. They are constantly speaking what they need, what they want, what they deserve, what they missed, what they love, how was their day, how they felt at a given moment etc

Amen, esp the end! Yes, I have a hard time with fasting healthwise, but things I do to fast is cut out any extra/snacky or dessert food, and cut entertainment. I put away my tablet. TV is hard because I'm not alone in the household, but next time I should try having on music or something (so it's occupied & someone doesn't start playing icky stuff on me- unsaved household). If anyone else has health issues, I have discovered chia seeds in water. I didn't know about that before, but helps with blood sugar & filling you up👍

I prepare weekly discussions for our bible study group and the problem I find with pastor Paul is that after watching his sermons on the relevant subject, I am tempted to look no further since they usually contain, what seems to be, all there is to be said on the subject! He covers each subject very logically and exceptionally well. I would only say that sometimes talking about some people, it is a little offputting when he imitates them with a negative mocking voice. But the way he covers any subject makes one listen! Even though his voice is not the most attractive I've heard, this in itself and whatever other negative things one can say about him, make him a perfect preacher. Since the preacher's main objective is to point one not to himself but to Jesus!!! After all, pastors are not to be seen as The Pastor but as the loyal and obedient sheepdogs. Just one last thing, it would help if pastor Paul would not reveal his political inclinations as he sometimes does 😀. Thank you very much, pastor Paul, for your service to The Lord!

Fasting is about making yourself spiritually receptive. Have you ever done fasting? It makes your connection to God stronger on a spiritual level. Not just to humble yourself. The fasting and praying is done to become stronger in spirit, because you're weaker in flesh. The prayers have more strength in them.
