Dear Pastor, I just wanted to take the time to say that I am one of those individuals who struggled with my "unworthiness" throughout my Christian life (I was taught you could LOSE your salvation!) - and it was YOU who has shown me through several Bible-focused lessons that whereas I AM indeed unworthy, that has no bearing on what God provided for me in making me eternally His own. Amen!!!! I am SO grateful for getting that weight off my soul, and I pray often for Christian brothers and sisters who also wrestle with that thinking. Thank God for using you!

I've been under number 2 & 3 on this list for practically all my church life. I dont know, no matter how hard I try, pray and watch great preaching such as this to think differently. It's one of the most difficult battle of my mind that I've ever dealt with. Frankly, its torturous to think that I will do something to mess up the free gift given to me and God will say depart from me.... I want to be free of this!

I love such a humble statement to say, "I don't really know how prayer works." That's so true by many of us. It's such a mysterious and wonderful work that we have the opportunity to participate in. Knowing what scripture says and teaches on prayer doesn't necessarily always translate our full comprehension of it. In my own opinion, this falls under the verse which talks about how we see now dimly, or as though through dark glass (paraphrasing)... I can't wait to see clearly all the wonderful truths of God's word, once we are like him and see things as they are (without flesh blocking and dulling our senses and knowledge). God Bless!

Amen, Pastor Paul! I am very thankful for the ability to hear you preach God's Word. It is like medicine to my very soul. I recently left my church of 5 years after it became increasingly clear that the pastor was preaching a works-based salvation. The pastor emphasized a need to prove your salvation through works. One time he even seemed to suggest that the sin of lying might mean you aren't saved. As time went on, it grieved my soul to listen to this incorrect interpretation of Scripture every week and I had to leave. I found that his preaching often created two extremes in the congregation: individuals who were overly confident in their self righteousness and individuals filled with doubt, guilt, and shame. Thank you for affirming my convictions regarding this matter - that salvation is 100% grace! I have now found a new church that is much more in-line with what the Bible actually says regarding this matter. I've also been going through the Bible chronologically with your Bible study videos as an accompaniment. It has been life changing for me and I am desiring to read God's word and learn about Him like never before. Thank you for your faithful service to Him and so many people around the world! I live in Springfield, Mo and have looked and looked for a church that I really enjoy that speaks the Bible and word of God in away that I can understand and relate to with NO AVAIL or LUCK!!! I don’t go to church and quit trying since finding you. I get what I need from listening to you here on line erase going to church. Thank you for availing yourself to teach the word of God Pastor Paul. I watch your teachings from time to time and especially love how you dig into the history behind the scriptures. However, as it relates to Mark 9:28-29, why wasn't "fasting" included in your quotation? "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. I know we use different Bible versions from time to time but being a Christian and now being apart of a deliverance ministry, it's even more vital to couple prayer and fasting. Therefore, I am not so keen on Bible versions that eliminate things such as fasting. Awaiting your take on this Pastor. Be blessed and thank you again.
