Thanking Jesus that in my spirit I knew that binding and loosing prayers were incorrect some years ago... I stopped doing those prayers. I was taught those prayers... and I knew something wasn’t right. Today as I read these passages for the first time reading Matthew 18:18.... having read them several times.... it came clear to me... the context was clear. Tho I couldn’t articulate what I was understanding. Been digging and looking up meaning of words to be sure I was understanding... then you Pastor Paul came to my mind... so I put in Matthew 18 and this video popped right up....the very thing I was understanding today in my spirit.. you explained out perfectly in words. As always so beautiful your gift of teaching. God is just so awesome. I’m so grateful.... everyday I’m Awe of him❣️ Thank you Jesus

No pastor paul you’re not boring to me ever thank you God for this man that preaches the word and exposes the heart of scriptures that most people miss out 😭🙏🏾❤️ I re-dedicated my life to God 2 years ago and ever since last year I’ve found out that there can be false teachers preaching the gospel and that really shook my mind when I started to discover dark truths to churches that spread this false message it breaks my heart because I’m an honest baby of Christ that truly wants to hear and know the truth but people aren’t doing it and instead they distort to their liking and none of the truth is heard 😭😭 so I’ve been watching you pastor paul for about a month and I’ve learnt so much about the Word of God than I ever have IN MY LIFETIME and I mean that so thank you so much for the videos you put on youtube and may God bless you 😭🙏🏾❤️ thank you for telling the truth because it sets me free and free indeed from the corruption of this world 😭🙏🏾❤️ I will continue to watch you and whomever just preaches the truth of The Bible and then carry out Our Heavenly Father’s Will because I have compassion on the are poor and the rich and all need the Lord in our lives for the sake of our souls 😭🙏🏾❤️ once again pastor paul thank you and I love you as one fellow Christian to another I love you with a genuine love God bless your kind heart 😭🙏🏾❤️

We are to resist and use the word of God (the Bible verses) to fight just like Jesus did as Jesus gave us the power to do so. When we use the Bible it also helps us change our mental state and show God we are using his word to fight this spiritual battle

Amen! November 2021 I thank God for this teaching! I was uncomfortable with this verse because I grew up in an environment where the elders of my household practice witchcraft and use "binding" to cast curses on people. Thank you, my Lord Jesus, for your truth!

Again very sound solid teaching. As one who has been in both "pentacostal and charasmatic" churches and involved in ministry, I totally agree that there are imbalances and exaggerations across the board. Lots of emotionalism. I like though how you brought some balance to your teaching at the end. Let me say though that we must be careful not to put the Holy Spirit in any box. While "slain in the spirit" is not a bilical doctring we do see places in scripture where persons on encountering God's presence and power fall down "as dead". Now as I said I agree it has been taken to extremes but the other extreme is to say that the Holy Spirit cannot or will not minister to persons in that way. God does new things and while He never violates His written word as you rightly said there should be an expectation that teh Holy Spirit will do supernatural things. It all boils down to balance. I believe that the Holy Spirit through both the "Pentacostal and Charismatic" movements sought to bring some experiences to the chursh but unfortunately human fleshly emotions etc. took things to an extreme. Yes balance needs to be regained.

@@runsaep9673 Hi as I said what we call slain in the spirit is really referred to as "falling as dead" and of course we must look at the contexts in which they happened. I personally have prayed for persons and while doing so they genuinely have that experience however too many Christians depend on that experience and seems to even worship the experience more than Christ Himself.

Your message was spot on brother. In my ongoing study outlines for my Bangladesh ministry, I was much blessed. Especially since we agree so much, and as I perused the WWW, I too notice that so many seem to want to flirt with taking on Satan. Yet, you eloquently pointed out that Scripture never tells us to take on the one who took down so many good brothers and sister. I prefer to let the Lord handle that rascal, since He has already defeated him.

This was a powerful message! I always thought I could personally bind demons and cast them into hell. Then I could loose angels into my presence by just praying in Jesus name. Some preachers and Christian’s teach believers to do this.

You cannot bind or loose something unless it has already been bound or loosed in heaven. This translation accurately depicts the verb tense found in the Greek: "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven" (Matthew 18:18 NASB). The Lord's Prayer supports this: "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10 NASB). The Bible will tell you what has been bound and what has been loosed. Man is not sovereign; God is sovereign.

Absolutely! It is already first determined in Heaven thus when exercised on earth it is supported by Heaven. The authority happens there first perhaps via Holy Spirit guidance causes man to act in alignment. Awesome comment. Thanks!

When you say that it's the church that this applies to, what does that mean? Does that mean that your whole church needs to agree or publicly announce something for it to be loosed or bound? Or... Two people can’t come into agreement to excommunicate someone from the church if that person doesn’t want to repent. They don’t have that authority. First the church needs to come into agreement. Look again in Matthew 18:17
