Beautiful. Brilliant. Oh how I love the word of God. His good and perfect will for every soul. His goodness and order He brings to every area in our life. How He cares for us. Thank you Jesus. “It is Gods heart that people be restored” What a gift of teaching from beginning to end. Thank Pastor Paul.

I know this is an old message, but can I say, not practicing this scripture can destroy the person being spoken against who hasn't been given the chance to their side of the story. 😢💔 it's usually spoken by someone more popular or respected than they.. wow..thank you Pastor Paul, I've never heard much in depth study on this.

I bind my brother or sister that keeps on sinning to me to be nothing more than a pagan or tax collector, while I loosen myself of every unequal yoke and common share with any unbeliever, in accordance with matthew 18:15-20, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

It is amazing, Paul was not there when Christ said these things. But he is reffering to them. It was not surprising when he refferd alot to Torah and Prophetic teachings, but when he does to the teachings of Jesus. It tells us how Christ Himself ministerd to Paul or Barnabaus?

Are there other rules for leaders, pastors, or elders?? What happens if it's big and no one will listen to you bc it's a person "in charge" that your voicing your complaint against?

I think people dont understand how real Jesus is and how personal He wants to be and can be hence why some play around with sexual immorality as if nothing wrong with it.

So I have a question and feel a little bit different when he says treat them as a pagans or tax-collectors that’s my hang up. Jesus treated tax collectors and pagans so well even in Matthew 11:19. “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”” So my question is wouldn’t we love them and maybe allow Holy Spirt to convict them if they won’t listen to the 3 steps of Matthew? Because to me i once could be looked at as a tax collector or sinner, if everyone left me alone and didn’t tell me about Jesus and their testimonies who knows if I would have cane to Christ. I only use this reference to show how Jesus treated pagans and tax collectors I know this is to a believer. Please help me I would love to know.

I think he meant as how to world treats tax collecters. We leave them alone and try to avoid them. Thats like someone who has an addiction. You can have intervention after intervention, but if that person doesnt truly want to change they're not going to. So if you point out someone's sin, whether it be you or the whole church and they still want to sin, give it to God and pray for them to have a change of heart

What I need to know is this. The Bible said "if thy brother shall trespass AGAINST THEE" so if the if the person did not sin against me, should I confront the person for their sin?

Can I establish here, when you take one or two witnesses - clearly best not to be fully informed, bias friends and impartial members of the body in the first instance (the body and NOT church leadership as the witnesses?) Beyond that he says here it goes to Church leadership who will investigate the matter with a view toward restoration and say's you don't just immediately start exposing everyone's sin - but no distinction is made in this talk - he goes straight from not exposing sin to the whole body being informed (The Church) and applying loving pressure... then the person gets treated as someone who doesn't want to change. What I'm asking is do church leadership investigate and if there's no movement it's given to the whole church body? And can phase 2 (the couple of witnesses) be church leadership? Sorry, a little confused and want to be clear. God bless you for this teaching brother, and all commenting here.

Ok, so I have a situation where someone tried to do this with me...but very unbiblically. This "brother". Got in my face over an offense. ( there is the go to your brother part, I'm a woman btw). Once he voiced his tirade, he then said " I don't ever want to talk to you again, and I don't want you to ever talk to me". My response was " wow that's pretty immature of you and I hope you change your mind". His response was " nope never gonna happen". This was 3 months ago. Any advice??
@jayJ8574 жыл бұрын
This person was clearly speaking out of emotion and not from God. With any situation i have found to pray about it first. Because sometimes after we pray we realise "hey i was blowing that out of proportion and it wasnt that big of a deal" but if you feel God is compelling you to bring up that situation, do it privately and in a calm manner. That is the test of someones fruits. If you bring up something someone did to hurt you and they are physically fixing or even trying to fix what they did, then that individual was moved by the spirit and realizes what they did wrong. But with this situation, this man didnt even give you that opportunity to rectify anything. All you can do at this point and maybe reach out to this individual and say you would like to talk about this situation and pray about it together. If he doesnt want to, then give it to God. I hope this helps
