Hi from oz. If you are testing your fodder,try making some from each cut into wrapped silage and the balance of the cut into hay and then test both. When I started contracting many years ago,we got a client that made half into silage half hay. The result was silage was feedlot quality and the hay was cardboard. He hasn't made hay for the thirty odd years since then.

We use to use log chains stretched out wrapped with gunny sacks soaked in diesel fuel to help as fly control and it stopped a lot of the pink eye issues we had. That may help you too. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Nice cattle update. If you watch Tom Pemberton he has a hanging brush that the cows seem to love. You might like to look for something similar since you seem to like to watch your cows be happy. That and to make them look nice. Wishing you and your family the best.
