When this came out it made Calvin a huge star in Europe where he played to huge crowds, while he only could fill a bar in Austin. Same was true for other Austin music artists at the time.

as a french I can confirm this, my father in the 90s saw him several times and he filled the smallest stages, people found him so authentic a real American sound with the added real depth of soul due to his difficult experiences... a real artist R.I.P
