Me on my first visit, and now living in the Philippines has really changed me as a person. I look back on my childhood growing up in South Central Los Angeles ,(Watts), the ghetto, thinking I was poor. I wasn't poor at all. It has made me to appreciate life even more and to be thankful for what I have. Now I do what I can to help others when I can. I now don't waste time on negative things. I try to always stay positive and smile because life is to short to waste it on negative energy.

Po is very respectful to older than you, kuya too, people here are super respectful, where I'm at in Mindanao, youngsters come up and take your hand and put on their foreheads as a sign of respect and blessings to people older than them, always smile, be respectful and just enjoy the hospitality and life is beautiful here, no I'm not Filipino, not yet ❤

It's unfair that the whole Philippines is judge base on how foreigners see Manila specially the squatter areas. Provinces are totally different from Manila. My province is very clean and I can't stand pollution, traffic and beggars in Manila.

When many foreigners say "Filipinos are so warm, kind or willing to help you no matter what". We have this called "BAYANIHAN" spirit that engraves deeply in our culture that stands for people or many people in trouble regardless of race will get help from locals w/o anything to return because we're used to deal with Typhoons, natural disasters etc. And another thing, I was just shocked that my country right now is the #1 lowest suicide rankings in Asia in 2023. So when you interviewed these foreigners that changed them as a person I can really see their smiling faces brightly. Again, its just cultural thing because we're used to deal with other cultures, that it's like becoming a "melting pot".

I've been to Philippines twice and honestly I want to go there again as a visitor, hopefully soon but I do also see myself living there. The mountain areas are so gorgeous and the waterfalls too. The family gathering always looks fun to me. I also don't mind having a Filipino partner, haha.

I working hospitalilty industry for 10 years everyday We had foreign guest honestly speaking they Love Philippines because Filipino hospitality natural in our blood even in our neighborhood I have 7 types foreigner live here Europeans ,Americans ,Australian, Russian, Japanese etc. And they said Philippines awesome country Filipino very Welcome Person great foods although terrible traffic Not really clean street , sometime have crimes but Its part of reality every country has crime but end of the day still beautiful in and out thats why they choice stay here in Philippines Thank you Calvin Philippines and Filipino What We really are We really Appreciat. Most important thing for all foreigners is to know your status here and know the law here. watch what you say and, be respectful, that will keep you away of trouble, out of jail and permanent deportation. Remember you're only a visitor with little to no privileges. This is a fabulous paradise and I'm proud to it call home almost 11 years na lang. Semper Fi.
