I am amazed I had watched this podcast to the end! I love Zombie even more after this interview. And beginning to love the 2 hosts too!

I remember back then we were excited to see Zombie/Daniel on television program E.A.T. as guest. It is his second time. The first time was during the pandemic but as virtual guest. The chat went on frenzy mode when he finally introduce himself and sang one of the songs of Black Jack. We(audience) petitioned to the admin of E.A.T to take him in as a guest host as he is a natural comedian. The showrunners granted that request. Him being a polyglot means that he is intelligent and fast learner. He is even more fluent than some half-Filipino or full blooded Filipino in speaking our language. He was such a nice addition to the team and we have fun watching his "pakulo" or antics. But some of the audience can't get used to his high pitched tagalog voice😅. They didn't know Daniel has this deep voice when speaking in English. I understand him tho because I tend to have different pitch when speaking a language not my own. I agree with him that sugod barangay is exhausting. Some host in the past even fainted. That is why we are worried for the hosts and crew there during hot summer days like now. But that segment is a favorite among viewers. The show must go on in spirit of Bayanihan. On your next journey Daniel, I wish you good luck and God bless!

I think it’s not about the high pitch or his high voice, he is indeed smart however he can’t keep up with pinoy humor. He lacks some adlibs and he seemed to be holding back- i dont know maybe he is kindoff intimated with his co-hosts which is understandable coz they breath and eat comedy on a daily basis.

I LOVE the first point that Zombie shared. I had the same realisation 5 years ago. We are so busy with our own lives that I don't know if anybody notices that the people around us are growing old as well, not just us. I was expecting my mother to be as strong as my last memory of her. But something happened 5 years ago that made me realize that, no, my mother has grown old, and I need to now be the stronger person and that I now be the one who takes care of her, instead of her taking care of me.

Instead of mahal kita when addressing your viewers the proper way of saying is “mahal ko po kayong lahat” if you’re alone addressing the audience. If you’re two persons or more addressing the proper way is “ mahal po namin kayo”. Mahal kita is use when you are talking to a single person.

For foreigners to be fully accepted by Filipinos first you must embrace their culture and the food but if you want to level up LEARN the language. Filipinos speak and understand English BUT if you learn the language - Tagalog then you just elevated yourself for more opportunities such as what Zombie did.

Zombie is so smart. I know now because he loves to read and apply what he reads to his way of life. He tried to learn each day of something good. I admire his perseverance. He’s right everything happens for a reason. God bless you men. With regards to cooking adobo, Calvin is right no need for salt because it needs only soy sauce and vinegar plus the bay leaf, pepper corn, and lots of garlic. For Sinigang we use Patis (fish sauce) and the knorr sampaloc powder.

I have been away from Manila Philippines for nearly 3 decades and now a citizen of UK, central London. So i can't pronounce some of the deep Tagalog words like that one "nakakapagpabagabag" and my daughter also was laughing since she agrew up here and never been really fluent in Tagalog. LOL.
