Agreed. Just shows that superpowers are just a coefficient. They don’t change the nature of people - they only amplify it. So, what would happen if a corrupt, monopolistic, sketchy, late-stage capitalistic company has SOLE control of metahumans, and treats them like product/celebrities, giving incentive toward profit above all else….. Then you get a MEGA bad corporation, with people ruined to even further due to the catalyst of super powers.

Society does not work on the basis of good people. It works on the basis of keeping people obedient. These are not the same. However, although there is collective evil, individualistic morality can hold, and your shortsighted exaggeration dismisses a pretty significant portion in favor of superficial cynicism. This whole comment of yours just shows how limited your perception is, and how the entire message of the show flew right over your head. Homelander got corrupted not by his power, but by scientists and monopolistic corporations that “knew better” and committed crimes against humility on him. Even if you read “Irredeemable” and discover Plutonian, who is Homelander on steroids (actual divine power and genocide), you would know that both of these characters were failed primarily due to the nurture they experienced and how they were convinced. But hey, keep being your biased self with 0 critical thinking.
