The lyrics to this song really illustrate how smart of a young lady she was. This captures the sibling rivalry brother sister thing perfectly. The evolution of the brother sister thing into older adulthood out of young adulthood, she articulates it so well. Anybody whoever went through it or witnessed siblings go through it know she nailed it. Beautifully sophisticated song writing. Amy you are so missed.

this song is awesome. I'm not a fan of live music unless I'm actually present but I like this. she was so healthy looking. no one's thighs should look like arms, ijs. I love this broad. what a voice. she moved me and still does. she has no more demons and troubles now. she's at peace and since her peace meant that she could no longer be here I'm ok with it.

Brother It's so much that I could never say to your face But by now You should know the world and all its ways So find your place How do I find words that do not condescend When she bore you before me? 'Cause she doesn't need a child, she needs a friend A son, not a sob story, ooh Now you must look out for her the way she did for you And your priority, it must be her Now you must look out for her the way she did for you 'Cause we'll never be the way we were, ooh She can't always be there just to hold you down Our mother When you are at a age now where life turns around My brother Realize that you don't have to answer to no man Responsibility comes down to you But how can I expect you to understand When you live life like it's so run-through Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh Now you must look out for her the way she did for you Ooh, your priority, it must be her Now you must look out for her the way she did for you 'Cause we'll never be the way we were Now you must look out for her the way she did for you And your priority, it must be her Now you must look after her the way she did for you 'Cause we'll never be the way we were The way we were We'll never be Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh And your priority, it must be her Ooh-ooh-ooh

chocoholicSISTA263 The issue was her management who pushed her at too young an age to churn out recordings and videos. She was happier when she had total control over her music and productivity so yes, she should have been independent. The other issue is she had terrible taste in men and was easily influenced. She took up with a junkie and alcoholic, became obsessed with him, married him and became an alcoholic and drug addict herself. And we all know how it ended...

So many people were heartless and down right mean to her...i.e. media, terrible pics ..etc. All people "heard" of her..was her problems with drugs & the REHAB song...Im so happy that you've taken the time to really listen to her. In trying to flush out the "facts" on why Amy's work went largely unnoticed, the following stands out. According to a book written by Nick Johnstone called "Amy Amy Amy - The Amy Winehouse Story" (2008), there was no distribution of "Frank" in North America by the Simon Fuller-led Island Records (P.55). This probably meant no distribution in the Western Hemisphere/Asia. In fact, "middle England had no idea who she was" (P.57) so presumably Europe missed out. Poor decision-making everywhere.

Real nice setting for a jazzy type tune. I think I like this tune better than any of the others. Aside from what may be a performance influenced by a substance or another, she really seems comfortable doin her thing. Beauty, sex appeal, talent, . .. all gone.
