It’s not about getting taxed in other states. It’s more that they consider you making money in their state from that one game played even though that other team isn’t paying you. I travel for work but I get paid from my base org not from any other company. I thought an athlete would be the same. Paid from main team but probably things like collective bargaining play into their salary.

With all due respect Cam had good intentions with this video but made a huge mistake. That mistake was recommending Robert Kiyosaki "Rich Dad Poor Dad". The title sounds cute, but Robert Kiyosaki is a known seminar scam artist. Somewhat similar to the mess DJ Envy is caught up in. There is a Yale Economics professor who researched the history of financial self-help books. This professor said of all the ones he researched by far the worse one was Robert Kiyosaki "Rich Dad Poor Dad". Stay away from Robert Kiyosaki at all cost.

I had this argument with friends. How is Ohtani going to notice if money is missing? Obviously if he’s reading his statements every month then yes he’s gonna know but normal guys. If a bunch of money is missing there lifestyle changes. But the reality of it is if you are currently making millions, whether you have 20 million in a bank or 8 million in the bank nothing is going to change.

@@jaygunny8402 Only pay attention to the guaranteed money and even that can be guaranteed towards injury so let's say its a 100m deal with 50m guaranteed. More than likely the deal will be front-loaded so 25 in year 1 and two and the team can cut you year three. Players rarely see all their contracts outside the stars. they can keep you for year 3 or 4 but they will reduce the money they already gave you the 50m

@@jaygunny8402lol….amon ra is only receiving the guaranteed money…..he’s guaranteed 77M over 4 years. Don’t let that 120M contract fool you. Thats why nfl players want more guarantee money than the original total because nfl is a business they ain’t letting take home that extra money. That’s why AB got mad and stormed off the field. It’s manipulation and mind games why the hell would they want to pay you an extra 30-50 million dollars. Soooo 77 divided by 4 is 19.25M. And this is without taxes. In totality he’s receiving 13-16Mil. The more money you get paid the more taxes you will pay.

This is the most in-depth financial assessment that anyone has given about the NFL player earnings. Guy was right, Cam needs to share this info with the rookies. This has been an incredible segment. I'm with Cam 1,000%, about the respect and love that his "dudes" don't give. Especially if he provides all expenses, a million thanks should be given and an effort to do things for him if they get a free ride. It's pathetic that they won't go to the store for him. It might sound like something petty, but effort and appreciation means everything.

True indeed! But the problem is just like many in these comments are truly ignorant to finances and being financially literate. Rookies and young athletes will be also. They live for acceptance and validation. To be seen. They aren't thinking or could care less about the long term. People like Cam...Ocho....Shannon or any other past athlete that has been through it...when they speak...these young athletes/people seeing them old has beens that yelling at clouds and don't have a clue what they are talking about. Or they feel "Naw that's not going to be me" as they walk around with half a million in jewelry on them and a 20 man entourage.
