He was thrown to the wolves late and caught covid in 2020. Missed practice because of it and had to play catch up. Before that, he was good. Joined the Panthers in the middle of 2021. He totaled 30 tds and 17 turnovers in the last 2 seasons with no time to learn the playbook, no weapons, no oc to match his abilities, and a terrible oline. Give him a good opportunity and watch him work.

washington football fan here. never got on board the panthers at expansion…i live in north carolina. i appreciate cam’s past. he had a good career, and one of the best rookie starts, as well as seasons any quarterback has ever had. still…. throwing against no defense shows what of his ability to read a defense pre-snap, avoiding getting sacked, reacting to pressure, as well as his decision-making and accuracy under duress? everything that he proved in the last two years he played in league that he struggled with after the superbowl. also, why no audio? i can’t believe cam said nothing at all during his ‘pro day.’

Cam looks like a guy who used to play QB in college but has taken time off. He's dilly-dallying prior to throw, and his throws don't have the zip they use to have. He's a great athlete, but unlesss he's willing to commit to the craft he won't get another shot. His best course of action is to go seeTom House and then sign a contract with a CFL team. IF that happens and he can find his groove then he'll be back in the league in under a year.

As a Panther's fan, Cam will not be signed because he feels that he can start, and he wants to be the starter on any team he joins, and majority of the head coaches in the league feel his starting days are behind him. Cam was unbelievable from 2010, best college season ever, throughout his MVP season and the Super Bowl. The next year he was targeted and the refs allowed him to be brutalized, league wide, and the shoulder injury forever robbed us of what he had before. He could still be a quality #2, he's just got to accept it, I can't see him starting anywhere with the arm he has now, this workout wasn't sharp, and he doesn't look strong on any throws beyond 15-20 yards, sad but true. He should drop the ego and consent to being a #2 guy, and get in to play; injuries to starters happen every year, maybe rejuvenate the career, or retire, he doesn't need the money.

Cam always had a beautiful deep ball but was never a good pocket passer. Bad footwork and mechanics that he never cleaned up in the NFL. TJ watt then fugged up his shoulder/arm. Cam is deserving of a job in the NFL but he’s not a starting caliber QB anymore. He will be a great bridge QB or backup but Cam will never take that position.
