I can't stand that forced chop sound you are describing, I build a lot and that's what kids want but I prefer the old school sound like natural cam sound like it used to be when your only control was dizzy and carb vs all the computer tuning. I tune also and can change the cams sound completely with just a few changes on laptop

With all that that you did my brother I don't understand why you just didn't yank the whole engine out that way you could have done everything that you wanted to do I mean you could rent an engine hoist or is this one bought one but I do appreciate what you're doing but I definitely applaud your efforts cuz that's a lot of work dismounting all that stuff in the mounting it back up inside the engine play I take my hat off to you it just sounds great too but next time you going to go that deep man you might just snatch the whole freaking engine out that way that way you can paint the engine and clean it up better you can just get out a few things that you take out the engine you know you discover things that you know you need to correct especially yanking the heads off but I think you did I think you did a wonderful job

You can do it by just buying a cam, valve springs, valve cover, timing cover, and water pump gaskets. Or you can do it like the video with all of that plus head gaskets, head bolts, push rods, oil pump, oil pan gasket, lifters and trays.

You don’t need to do it but I do recommend it. Basic cam swap parts are cam, valve springs, valve cover and timing cover gasket.
