It is. I've done it both ways and this is so easy to do.

Did you ever got the drl to stay always on?
@rickmartins91352 жыл бұрын
Yes I fitted a relay, can't remember exactly but powered it from the fuse box. I'll have a look.
@rickmartins91352 жыл бұрын
Power the relay using a Piggy Back fuse in the HID fuse position (No. 46 on my Euro Spec 2013 V8 SS). I can't include a picture here but if you send me your email I'll forward to you.

They are easily accessible from underneath just use car ramps!
@rickmartins91355 жыл бұрын
By the time it's on the ramp, inner arch and wheel off I'd be all wrapped up and in the pub !! Each to their own.

@@rickmartins9135wheels don't come off?? I did both bulbs in 10 minutes. Your way risks damaging the housing and paint??
@rickmartins91355 жыл бұрын
@@cya116 No risk of damage whatsoever. Did you not see that I had a thin rubber pad to protect the paintwork. It's not necessary but an added precaution - you could use a piece of cardboard. As I say each to their own but I would have the job done before you've got your ramps positioned !

By the way if you check the vid you'll see it took me just over 2 minutes and that's taking my time while explaining.

Or you could go through the wheel well so you don't risk messing up the paint
@rickmartins91356 жыл бұрын
Joshua Heatherly. You can if you want to Jack the car up, remove the wheel and mess about under the arch. The only time the paintwork is at risk is when you ease the cowl out. Use a soft pad like in the vid and there's no way you can damage anything. 2 minutes or 30 minutes - your choice.

Rick Martins what I do when I need to change my fog lights is turn the wheel inward remove the 3 torx screws pull the finder liner back a bit and easy access. But to each their own
@rickmartins91356 жыл бұрын
Joshua Heatherly If you think that easier then go for it. I've done it both ways and know which is the easiest.

Did you have to do anything special going to an LED? I tried replacing my tail lights with LED's and run into lots of "fun."
@rickmartins91357 жыл бұрын
Depends on the LED. Some bring up an error message on the dash (which you can just cancel out). I got over this by installing a resistor across the wires to the LED. If you're buying LED's make sure you get the correct fitting.

Rick Martins Yeah. I was fighting errors and taillights out of sync. Thanks for the info!!

The fitting is PSX26W (at least it is on my SS 2013). The P13W is very similar but handed so won't fit. You'll see the difference if you scroll down the page here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PSX26W-Xenon-WHITE-29W-HIGH-POWER-CREE-LED-Car-Fog-Bulbs-fit-AUDI-CAMARO-/141120263314?hash=item20db6c5492
