J-Rod-at what point do you need to consider forging the bottom end on a stock LS3? I thought LS3's were only safe until 600 rwhp?

Just depends on the build. It has to be well put together and properly maintained and the absolute most important thing is tuning. Ive seen plenty of cars blow up around 600 rwhp or less and its usually because of shitty tuning. Mine makes around 750 but is tuned perfectly! It wont last forever but Im confident in knowing I can beat on it and run at the track and it'll be ok.

J- Rod Ohhhh ok. I have a 2010 Mustang gt and want to add a Kenne Bell but was wanting to rebuild the bottom end first. Because I've heard the bottom end on the 4.6 is only good for about 500rwhp and anything past that is pushing it. But you brought a good point...I know guys who have forged bottom ends and still blow up which, like you said, you due to bad timing. I appreciate the advice, I figured I'd ask you because, I read in your comments on a previous video that you work on cars for a living.
