The biggets problem with those 034 Ball Joints is that they can develop quite big play after just 2 track days - this can resut in unexpected car behaviour druing braking and accelerating. I was affected by those faulty ball joints, as well as two of my friends who track their cars also had also same problems. We've got full refund on those parts after all, but I from my perspective it is not worth to install them in the first place if you plan to abuse your car on track.

@@miamirice6840 a friend's 95 Civic hatch was easily the best FWD car I've ever driven on track. It's just a shame the parts are getting scarce and K swap stuff isn't exactly cheap.

@@datadrivenmqb agree. i had a 2300 lbs 95 Hatch with K20a2, bolt ons and coilovers. incredibly fast car.

has anybody with plenty of track time found a great base line alignment for stock suspension? i am assuming slight toe out in rear?
@datadrivenmqb22 күн бұрын
@@miamirice6840 with bone stock suspension I'd just run zero toe front and rear, as much camber up front as you can get (via loosening everything and pushing/pulling within factory tolerances), and set rear camber around -1.7 to -2.0. Should be a decent starting point. Adjust balance via tire pressure. There's really only so much you can do. Toe out in the rear will definitely help but I'd probably not resort to that first time out.

@@datadrivenmqb i put a large bar in the back and the car is neutral at best when you really carry 4 wheel lose type speed , but it doesn’t rotate well under trail breaking that is so important in FWD ( the R really drives like FWD)

@@miamirice6840 these cars are too front heavy to not do a bigger front bar* *If on softer suspension, or have inadequate camber. The front bar on my car was easily one of the best changes I made. www.datadrivenmqb.com/suspension/swaybartheory www.datadrivenmqb.com/suspension/fsbdata

I put lowering spring 2mm and 2.5mm , they put some camber on my Mk7 GTI ?
@datadrivenmqb5 ай бұрын
I’m not sure I understand the question? If you lower the car, you’ll gain a bit of negative camber. 2 or 2.5mm lowering won’t be anything really noticeable though.
