Now, that's a great project! Built under a 'build-operate-transfer' scheme means that the Chinese investors believe this is a viable project that they can profit from. At the same time, it won't cost Cambodia anything until they take it over after 50 years. Congratulations to Cambodia and to the Chinese investors. For us regular people, having this as a tourism gateway to Cambodia also gives us more travel options.

After that, China warred against Vietnam in 79' during which they tried to take the capital Hanoi but failed and retreated under the premise of "we could've taken it, but we decided not to".
