It's not because they're war-torn. It's because "Afghans" are actually descended from Alexander The Great (and are not very "native") so everyone pretends to not know how to parent them, including their biological parents. In their Bactrian empire they used Hebrew as an official written language, and parented Lu Shan. They have that "jerry seinfeld face" or whatever about 30% of the time, with a non-Arabian nose. In the beginning of the 20th century, a lot of "Jews" fled to Afghanistan (mostly the ones who also look like jerry seinfeld). It was like the original Israel.

The United States stole billions of dollars from the Central Bank of Iran. And then the United States also stole billions of dollars from Afghanistan's Central Bank. I think there's mistranslation about head coverings. Xiaomen was saying that women have to cover their head regardless of their nationality. It's better in Kabul because she's not required to cover her face (in this case, I think she's referring to niqab instead of the type of hijab that doesn't cover the face) and in northern regions she has to cover her face.

befriending China puts them on potentially friendlier terms with Pakistan, and worse terms with India. Tourism isn't hard geopolitical policy though so these trends aren't official or concrete. But it will be interesting to see how Afghanistan expects to juggle the regional balance. There must be strong internal political pressure to be somewhat neutral regionally but they're already being courted by China in significant ways. Afghanistan would be a huge win for the Belt and Road.

The Taliban is somewhat tolerant of foreigners enough to let them do their own thing since it needs international recognition. Hence you can see foreign women not wearing niqab and burqa, but make no mistake, if you are a religious minority, woman or not a pashtun, don’t bother coming or leave if you can since the Taliban is really strict and oppressive especially if you are not in their flavor of Islam.

It is a great shame and hypocrisy that foreign women are allowed to go out and take pictures with the Taliban up close, but Afghan women have lost many of their rights and go to school. The suicide rate among Afghan women has increased, people are trying to leave the country because of their oppression. The Taliban is just the black history of this country and I am sure it cannot last much longer, because they are just a minority who came to power with a gun.

The riots (sorry, “peaceful protests” as always described by Western politicians and media) were supported by US, UK and Western politicians, commentators and media. Funny, when the Taliban have been and still is targeting and killing Hazara-people every single day for looking "Asian" and not "Afghan". If you didn't know, the Hazara people are a Turk-Mongol people with complex nomadic history, and therefore complex genetic history also. We are Shia-muslim, and have for centuries been oppressed, slaved, tortured and killed. This is on-going even today, but luckily my people highly prioritize education, knowledge, science and resistance - this also goes for the women, yes. Today Afghanistan would not stand without our knowledge, or have any international pride (e.g. in sports or academics), but unfortunately we are still treated this way. I'm happy that i live abroad, but my heart cries for the Hazara people, all the ethnic groups who are suffering and ESPECIALLY the women of Afghanistan. The wording of spam used by "Sweet Basil" is the same as that always used by "BeijingGenocideOlympics2022". The poor bot farm peons and Sepoys are assigned their own spam. Sometimes things get confused when an operator takes over a moniker. This results in “Arabicetc” posting spam assigned to “Lastetc"/ "lastetc"/ "verylastetc"/ "nextlastetc"/bestlastetc , and vice versa. "nicholasfoong" uses the spam of "Ahmetetc" and “Mohammed Kumar”/“Hkchinese”/”wynn” . "nicholasfoong" is new, so must be low down in the bot farm hierarchy and has not been given its own spam to play with. Either that or it is an independent bot that is bereft of its own ideas. And special mention to “misterbig”, the Sinophobic bot farm one.

Hope the Taliban can change their laws to let the women have the equal opportunity for education. if they want to get the approval from the global society, they need to divide the law with the religion. actually, i don't favor the US military during the occupation, but i don't favor the current Taliban even more.

@@adamsaciid4919 have you ever noticed the protest from the females of Afghanistan? they are not allowed speaking in the public and not allowed receive any education. if you are one of them, will you feel satisfied? of course, the women in Palestine are poorer than these in Afghanistan, their life is under threat, we should pay more attention for them as well.

The chinesse knew about "to send charcoal in snowy weather". Afghanistan is a country that just managed to take back their independence, so many countries have strong tie that last a long time because help and support that was given at their independent. It is kinda funny that both soviet and USA are attracted to afghanistan because of the POSSIBILITY of natural resource that they have, when the potential of the people are actually PROVEN. Which other country can claim to have pushed back occupation from two superpower ?
