Great video! Crystal clear. I'm retired & married. Love Vietnam & Thailand, but Vietnam only has 30 day visa. Lots of talk about new 90 day, but not now. Thailand is better, but they don't want you to stay too long. I love the extension options in Cambodia. Cambodia seems like a good place to be. I really love my chow & I know Cambodia has good food, but I have to say that Thailand has the best & Vietnam & Malaysia aren't far behind. More options than Cambodia. The visa policies of Cambodia make it a great place to hang my hat. Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia a short hop away. Lovely! Thanks for the info. I check you out a few times a week to see what's new in Cambodia. I love the beach. Have checked that out too.

“What’s up guys?” Uhmm….right now….the sun, some clouds, a few birds. Oh….there’s a plane up there also. For the ER extension, you are supposed to be 55 years of age or older. Although I have heard of people younger than 55 who were able to get it somehow. Also you can save up to half the cost of six and twelve month extensions if you go to immigration visa office across from the Phnom Penh international airport in person and get it yourself from the authorities, instead of going through a travel agent business. 12 month ER extension will cost only $180 if you go to the immigration visa office next to the Phnom Penh airport. Can easily be $300 or more to go through a travel agent or other business.

I am planning to come and find a job so as a start, I must achieve E type Visa at the airport which can be extented after a month and then I must choose EG Visa as an extension to be able to find a job. Is this correct? Thanking you in advance.

That is correct. And If you find a job within the first month you wont need an EG youd go right to an EB extension

Its just Cambodia Philippines and Indonesia still at the covid thing, its long forgotten. I think all Asia should be as easy as Malaysia, Straight enter 3 Months for all no mandatory vax or health insurance just get on. Do I need to have a return ticket when I arrive in Cambodia? Thailand and the Philippines require a return ticket be produced upon arrival or the will not approve a visa on arrival stamp. However if you go through the Thai or Philippine Embassy for your visa. Customs will not ask to see a return ticket.
@TomTripsOut Жыл бұрын
I’ve always been told to have one incase they ask. They might not. But you dont want to give them a reason to deny you. You can also have an onward travel ticket. What some people do is get a bus ticket to Vietnam and cancel it after. Its prob only like $15 anyway.

Thanks for your video. In April 2023 do you still need Covid test? Also for tourist visa on arrival at the airport do you need to bring Photo passport with you or print outs of any thing? Its seems that the online visa is 100 dollar and on the airport is 30 dollars? Is that correct? I don't trust the websites as they could be cloned (fishing) websites.
@maxmeggeneder8935 Жыл бұрын
There is an official government website to get the e-visaelectronic visa). Only use that website. The 30 day e-visa(T or E type) is just 30$ plus a 6 or 7$ processing fee. 100 is definately too much. It was 37 last december.
@content1 Жыл бұрын
[[this comment is after I done the trip]] The visa on arrival is the way to go. I was impressed about how efficient the Cambodian visa staff were. they had over 50 people at the desk working on the visas so you pretty much had not got to queue or wait. I strongly recommend to do it on arrival. it deffenetly easier that having to send doccuments to a extranger website with your bank details. Also I recommend to carry a pen so you could even fill in the visa on the plane as they will handle the blank document already on the plane. Also it was 35 dollars (not 30). Aitpor trip to center is 10 dollars tuktuk.

You have to get something different than a tourist visa. What you need is called an E-type (Ordinary Visa). Do not get it confused with the online evisa. If you DO decide to enter on a tourist visa you will have the added hassle of doing a visa run every time you need to renew it.

What are the requirements for ER visa and does 7/11 accept credit card?
@TomTripsOut Жыл бұрын
im not sure. that's the retirement visa. I think you have to be over 55 and show that you have a certain amount of money in your bank account. Something like that. I don't know about that one cause I don't have experience with retirement stuff yet. 7/11 and credit cards, that's hard to answer, because they accept credit cards in general, but some places some foreign credit cards won't work. its hit or miss, its hard to tell. I don't have a 7/11 near me so I haven't tried. there's only 2 or 3 locations in Cambodia

I’m not looking for sporadic under-the-table gigs but seek something legal and steady. Is it possible at my age? Or will I face serious headwinds? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
@TomTripsOut2 жыл бұрын
I think that doesnt matter. There are old people working at my school. I think it would come down to how you portray yourself in the interview. - Also a degree is not required to teach here so are a head of the rest by having one, along with your experience. I think its a possibility if a spot was competitive they may choose someone young because they could lowball them on their salary, and also thru the parents eyes it might be a more presentable image of a teacher.
