របាំ​បួង​សួង​តាំ​​យ៉ែ​ Robam Boung Soung Tamyae is a dance created originally for paying homage to the past Kings and Queens of Cambodia. In the past, this dance was performed only inside the Royal Palace during the Boung Soung Ceremony asking the Royal Ancestors for peace to the Cambodian people and the nation.

Ma As Moon Nationalism will always mess up with your mind and values. Among Thai people, racism toward darker skin people and Indians is a really big issue. I feel so sad indians has to go through this kind of discrimination eventhough the bulk of not only Thai culture, but the whole of SE Asia derived from Indian culture. Regarding this dance, even if you think it belongs to you, what is wrong with sharing cultures between two very different people. Not everything revolves around your culture. Khmer culture is not identical to Thai culture just as this type of dance is not identical between the two. The type of fabric used, how they dress, the jewelry, hand and body gestures are very different from one another. What you see is more of a personal and judgmental standpoint. The world is not naive, there is a reason why this is called Khmer Royal Classical dancing and thus why it is registered in UNESCO.
