Thida is beautiful girl. She is a good chef too. A Tuk Tuk driver tried to explain you about Cambodia palm trees. Cambodia palm tree is not like American palm tree in California or Florida. The trunk can be used to be made into the canoe by carving the inside out. The leaf can be used to make a roof for the house. The fruit itself has a white meat and can be eaten directly or made it as the coconut dessert. The tree has juice that the guy uses a special tool to smooth the flower until its juice coming out. The guy uses a bamboo to collect juice overnight. In the morning, the juice is sweet and cool. But, it will become sour later on in the day. One can keep the juice several days to make it as a palm wine. Most farmers love to drink it. It can knock you out too. If you don't want to make it as a wine, you can take it to boil all the juice on the big pot on fire to make it becomes a palm sugar. I love palm sugar. The sugar is light brown color.

Awesome revelation. We from Africa have much in common with Cambodia. Wine is made as well. The palm fruit when riped can make nice soup, the kernel can give you dark oil which is edible. When ripe,red oil can be made as well. We eat the heart of the palm tree ,it's called palm cabbage. Soda is made from the tree as well.

I’m not sure they still alive my parent fled the country during Genocides that occurs within 1975-1979 with empty hand very tragic time in the histories of Cambodia . 😢🙏
