Why is there such aggressive policing of photography in shopping malls? There is no one there and there is nothing new to see in any of the stores. Seems like nothing more than a power trip. The US is the same way.

some videos of yours are a hit, some a miss. when you're on a public street you have every right to film. when you're in private property, a supercentre owned by a company there's certain rules, and they employ people to enforce those rules. by entering their premises you're agreeing to an unspoken contract. i enjoy when you're in a public open area and the people try to demand you stop filming cos you are in the right, but here you were in the wrong. you didn't get "irrate" at first, but when he asked you to leave in a kind tone you decided to call him names. are you that desperate for clout that you want to fight everyone? Youve got to remember that many of these shopping centres/arcades have been built over what once-were public streets. Streets that have been handed over to private developers/management agents without public consultation or consent. Furthermore, the legal definition of a public place in England & Wales is “any place to which the public have access” (this suits The State as it means they can apply public controls in more locations)
