Camco UltraShield RV Cover REVIEW!

Today I review my Camco UltraShield RV Cover. You have to be careful with this cover and any sharp edges that you may have on your rig or it will tear. Also some of the strap tabs pulled out the first time that I pulled them tight. On the bright side, the top and side fabric is great at protecting your RV. You make the choice.....

get some wide flex tape for both sides. old towel, thick one for pieces to cover square edges. take cover to a sail shop and have corners redone.

@@skippy3840 Tape will stop the rips, call a few sail makers, I'm sure one can help business is probably not to busy.

Yup. You quickly find out where all your sharp edges are. We used pool noodles and still didn't catch it all. I will say that rip at the straps is worry some.

Yeah, I did not catch them all. The strap tab ripped right out the first time I hooked it, very disappointed...

My question though, is it waterproof? I notice they use the words "water resistant" and it's hard to tell if they're just covering their butt by not saying "waterproof", or if it's actually not.

Saw your question and just purchased this cover but have not put it on as of yet. No RV cover is water proof, they’re water resistant because you really don’t want water proof as that will help foster mold because the moisture has no where to go. You want it to breath and so any moisture that is under the cover has a place to go and it evaporates..

It is not totally waterproof, it is really designed to keep the sunlight from killing your roof

It is a worry when manufacturers don't make things fit for purpose. Did the RV manufacturer not think about sunshine? Did the cover maker not think about sharp spots? I think they rely on buyers not taking it back. We have really good nation wide consumer laws. If it doesn't do what the retailer says it would, it it the responsibility of the retailer to remedy the situation, by replacing or fixing or refunding. Some will try and palm you off to the manufacturer, which is illegal. Your contract is with the retailer.

Pulling through the cover because your pulling the straps too tight. Give it more room to sway back and fourth

Those thing ain't made of quality material, reminds me of Frogg Toggs material. Sheds water great but not too durable, had one for my pop up and for my Jeep. Maybe sew or glue some old jeans or Gorilla Tape on inside. The one for pop up, a cat had sprayed it and the sold camper to a friend, he said he laid it on the ground cause it stank and next morning there a lot of cats in his yard. He threatened to catch them and take'm to my house.

You are tellin me. I like the top and the sides for protecting my rig, but any even remotely pointed object will either puncture it or tear it.

I had a class C and first year it ripped down the top seam and sun rotted camco cover is the worst ever

This cover is absolute garbage! Lasted all of 2 months and is destroyed. It was put on once only, on and off multiple times. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
