Standard Atmospheric Pressure at Sea level is 1013.25 millibars /14.7 PSI . A 5 millibar drop in pressure is equivalent to riding at around 140ft above sea level on a "standard" day and typically the higher above sea level you go the less power an engine will develop (although drag is reduced due to thinner air) but such a small height differential is not likely to be felt, you need to go into the near thousands to feel the difference. www.sensorsone.com/altitude-pressure-units-conversion/

It's good to know. So with the extra moisture in the air taking power away and the atmospheric pressure not really making much of a difference, the pipes make a decent amount of gains 🤣

about the bags, I had the same problem, and in my case what made the difference was the pillion (not their fault of course). I went to Cambridge on my own, from London, checked the bags and all was fine. Then picked up this friend and we went to a cafe, 20 minutes away. I checked the bags again and one had a cut from rubbing against the tire. The additional weight of the pillion made the bike sit lower and the bag touched the tyre. They were new bags too. I managed to sellotape them though, and was able to get back home alright. After that, I repaired the broken bag by sawing some pieces of old jeans and I am still using the bags today. To be fair though, the instructions did mention that you should install side racks on the bike to stop them touching the tyres, and I didn't have them at the time. But if those bags are sold specifically for the MT-10, and the instructions mention nothing about side racks or supports, then you are right in being upset and giving a negative review .

Glad you were able to make good use of yours mine were a bit beyond that stage. There's no mention of needing any fame ect. I really didn't want to give a negitive review but I felt like they left me no choice.

I done the north coast 500 last year , we actually covered 2000 miles in a week, I had a kreiga back pack 35litre, a kreiga tail pack 20 litre and a oxford tankbag seemed to work quite well on my MT10 SP.

I use SW Motech sidebags on my MT10, they've got a detachable single bar that clips into the pillion pegs and acts as a subframe to stop the bags swinging inwards towards the tyre, and then when you don't have the bags on the frame just unclips so you don't have a big ugly frame on the bike in normal use

Tried soft luggage years ago but had same problems, mine rubbed through my paint even the coating on my rear foot pegs, that’s why I use roll top bags now on back seat but no pillion

Very entertaining video.:) Having a sportsbike myself I feel your frustration with trying to find some sort of luggage option. I never take a pillion but I would still be worried having big bags like yours just hanging down on either side of the tail unit. I would have tried to construct some spacers radiating from the passenger footpeg brackets because I would have zero confidence doing a fast corner. With a bracket those bags would do alright though, even with pillion, which is what I guess you were after. :) I have a 30L Givi roll bag and Rok straps. Job done, no pillion room though. The pipes look lovely. :) The decat, well, I seem to be at the wrong end of lots of complaints every time I bring up the fact that the emission standards built into the exhausts are actually a good thing unless you want to take the next logical step and get an electric bike. I have kids, two with lung issues. I am not proud to ride a carburettor bike but it's what I could afford and it's all I have and I do my very best to keep it running as clean as possible. Just like I wouldn't take the baffle out to make more noise, nor would I take out something that will pollute less just to get 0.1% more response from the throttle. Most modern sportsbike never get used to their full potential anyway. There are plenty of studies that have proven that. I don't know, I am shouted down a lot because of my attitude but I can't be alone out there in thinking that we should all do our little part for the planet. Yes, we can accuse big industries and diesel cars and airplanes etc etc but doing nothing yourself is also not cool. Just sayin… Anyway, keep those vids coming. They are indeed interesting. Maybe if you can review a cheap helmet or bike camera. I would love to film my commute one day just for fun or for KZbin but things like GoPros are out of my budget range. Stay safe!

First off let me thank you for such in-depth feedback. So, from the top, the luggage situation is something I've been thinking about for a while. I only really need it when we'rev going filming something and Saffron is riding pilly, for this reason, I want it to be able to just pop on and off easily and quickly and it HAS to be piilly friendly. I have to agree, the pipes are awesome :) I see your point about the emissions but If I'm being really honest I love the noise/weight loss/power gains too much to put the cat back on, my bike is my plaything and its only out when I'm free and the suns out, I know this doesn't address your issue with it but if it helps my car is very small and totally standard :) It's funny you should mention electric bikes, my next video should be of great interest to you. I'm very sorry to hear about your kid's lung issues. On the responsiveness issue, although the bike makes more power now (just over 10% from standard) I've not been chasing power figures, they have made the bike easier to ride and given a big plus to performance. I'd say its most bikes, not just sport bikes that don't get used to there potential, as it happens I've just come back from Donnington and I can happily say I took the bike pretty close haha I've been meaning to do a cheap cam review for a while as I have some here I've not used yet so I think you've motivated me to get round to it. I will definitely keep making videos and thank you once again for such great feedback

I have the SW Motech bags on my SP, done a European tour with them. I couldn't fault them. Even when it pissed down with rain the bag liners kept all my gear dry - unlike my Oxford two piece waterproofs, which failed miserably!

Enjoyed the video. Pipes look nice. Shame about the bags! Just one thing, when you took the time to blur out your reg, it might have been an idea to do the same for the other bikes in the video. I don’t think I’d be too happy if I’d left my bike at a garage and then saw it on somebody else’s video with the plates on display. Just a thought for next time maybe 👍🏻

I recommend the powervision module from dynojet!! I have it and i can tune my bike whenever i want where ever i want. Within 5 minutes i can have my bike spitting and popping flames or not. It has all kinds of features including being able to mount the module on the bars and watching all the engines vitals in real time its very cool !! I learned how to tune it myself with there included tuning software (alot easier than you think!) But dynojet has ready to go tunes for your bike to get you started. Btw i also have a 2019 mt10. Good luck my friend!

mods often give you 0.7 horsepower or less improvement. the operator of the dyno can run the shit out of it a few more times and get a small increase, or tell you stories, or they can change a parameter and make it look like it gained a small amount. but the truth is, mods simply don't give a birds shit of hp increase. stop making the dyno operators lie.
