Last time i was there it wAs horrific. But now? It looks better then many cities that I've been to. And the streets are relatively clean and it doesn't look depressing. I appreciate what hard work they have done to make it look better. Camden i applauded your efforts 👌

Thank you for sharing the video of this big tour in Camden, I found it very interesting. I'im living in Europe and I don't have even a travel experience in the US. But I read about the citiy of Camden, his history and I saw some documentaries. What I read is that in the last 10 years there has been a lot of positive changings. The police crew has been changed (no more or less corruption and a better relationship to the residents), money has been invested in cultural life, Camden has a good university and today less drug problems as its neighbour city Philly (Kensington), ok far from zero, but decreasing. My impression is that Camden is on a rising way, I hope for the residents that it's true.

Camden is making strides to renew itself. The police department was reassigned,. They're putting money into developments and I believe the 1st hotel in 50 years is being built there. I was strongly considering moving there or another South Jersey city from Philly before I had to move back to the West Coast due to Covid. Rutgers is an excellent university, and I would've attended school there. I still might get a graduate degree there in the future. I hope that in time it will return to some of its former glory. Governmental mismanagement and lack of viable jobs have hurt it majorly. I am working on finishing my first degree now.

You're incorrect in your assesment of this community. Camden has made substantial improvements over the past 10-15 years... While yes the city is still in a disenfranchised state today, it was a literal free for all at one time. What you see today is the best this city has been in more than 50 years and should be recognized. CMD is on the rise. Peace out.

About a year ago I was coming home from my sister's house in New York City to Lynchburg TN and I got off the wrong exit of 95 and ended up in Camden NJ I met a pretty girl standing on the corner of Morgan Blvd and Broadway and she said she needed a ride and wanted to know if I wanted to go out on a date with her then she told me She was almost finished building her house but she needed to buy some ready rocks to finish building it and she needed $100.00 To buy some ready rocks so she could finish building her house so I gave her $100 for ready rocks and told her I would take her over to Home Depot but she asked me to stop at this house where some gentlemen were standing on a porch and that they would sell her to ready rocks and have them delivered to her house It was a very interesting date and I had a very good time Camden is a beautiful city.

I'm not trying to be flippant when I say this. Why would you pay somebody in Philly or NJ twenty bucks an hour when somebody in Peru or Mexico will do it for two bucks or less? Manufacturing in the US and UK is done. The tech companies and service industries can't make enough money in the rust belt.

They didn’t even ride pass the beautiful well kept houses streets and properties that are always looking good. And most of the streets they rode down were clean although the properties were old and some boarded up. Boo boo boo!!!
