Camel is the most underestimated band ever!! I love the band since I was 15 years young and they were my first live experience, which I will never forget., it was at "De Vereeniging" in Nijmegen, Holland. Now I am 62 and still loving Camel and of course Andy Latimer! Camel rules, Music rules!

Geddy Lee: "On it was a beautiful, slow-moving instrumental called "Ice" with one of the most delicate and lovely endings of any song from that progressive music period, featuring one of the truly great guitar solos of the late seventies, played by Andrew Latimer; IMHO it ranks up there with the likes of Clapton and Gilmour."

Well, I love Gary Moore and Pink Floyd/David Gilmour but this is different, although Andy Latimer can sound close to Gilmour sometimes (and he did that on the album Rajaz, at least on one or two tracks). True, the album is different from that, but not bad, it's a mixed bag, with good songs (like Hymn to Her, Who We Are, Eye Of The Storm), and not so great ones (but this was 1979 and i guess they had a bit of pressure to come up with pop songs that would make a good single). Camel always made some instrumental pieces that were maybe stronger than some of their songs.

@@jackjc1447 Ah ! Glad to see somebody who also enjoy other tracks than "Ice" . I must confess it is my favourite piece (maybe my favourite piece ever from Camel, actually !) but "Hymn to Her" was the second track that came to mind, immediately. All the best to you, Jack :o))

I love this LP! If you like the keyboards, check out Kit Watkins solo stuff from the 80’s. It goes without saying my love for Andy Latimer.
