@@1HelluvaGuyBXIt wasn’t BLACK music, it was the sexual and violent nature that was the problem. Had they stuck to this, perhaps the crap hip hop, and gangsta garbage we see today, ruining the youth, could have been avoided. I don’t EVER remember any problems with playing Stevie Wonder, or Tina Turner, or what about MJ? You couldn’t turn on music channels without Jackson everywhere. Just because certain music, that used to be offensive in society was panned, does not mean it was racial. Motley Crüe was never allowed at first. And heavy metal? They were lucky to get a half hour show at midnight, on Sunday’s, and that was filled with useless talking….no real music.

Cameo is the UNDISPUTED kings of funk. No one has done what they have. They stood tite , holding they own , amongst Prince & Rick . Starting that era with 'shake your pants' and ending it with 'FLLIRRRRTT ' ! , then went on a lengthy hiatus . The second coming of Cameo started with 'Word Up' and all that followed was smash mf hits! The transformation of their music was incredible .. .and no one has ever did that as successfully as Cameo. Fans are not always kind to change. I'm trying to stay away from the words "reinvent themselves" , bcuz it is more of an evolution of a band than it is a reinvention of one. They have lived 2 lives... & they still Cameo !

Timeless music. Growing up in 3rd Ward Houston I can remember going to Jack Yates and Texas Southern football game's. When I hear old school music that's what I see. The good thing is everyone has the same story no matter where you are from. Take care.

Lol! You know something? I was drunk just finishing listening to Miles switching over to Cameo lol..Most definitely!

Don’t think that it was about support as much as it was about Miles being a HUGE fan, just as Cameo(of course) was of him.

Thought I was seeing things, but nope - that was Miles Davis! He must have really respected these Brothers to appear in this video. Was also around time he came back out of hibernation with the TuTu album, etc.

This ia by far my favorite up tempo jam of theirs. I wore this song out !!! That Miles Davis look was scary. But that was his style during his last days of living. R.I.P. Look at Kiki Shepard from Apollo.
