Great Video! For the marker mat function under the assist tab, I saw there's options from 16:9 to 4:3 but there's an arrow for extra options. What are the other options, are there vertical formats such as, 4:5 or 9:16?

please tell me why my screen is not full screen? Only in 4k mode screen on the entire monitor. And when I switch the mode to 4k, it appears for a second on the display that there is no signal. so should it be?

Hello, I enjoyed the video. I'm using the camera fx3. I connected the microusb terminal and the monitor, but the recording button is not activated. Do I have to connect the c-type terminal and the monitor? Then, can I adjust the focusing on the monitor?

Liked and subscribed. I just got the 7 which included the hdmi to hdmi cable. All fictions well but the monitor doesn’t have the “system” option to connect to my Sony FX30 I’m a million miles from any camera store what to do?. Btw this unit doesn’t come with the cage for the hood.

I got the usbc cable for my a1 and r5. It doesn’t work with either. When using with a1 it asks MTP or mass storage. With r5 same as above but pc remote and usb streaming. Can’t get it to work

Hi! Sony cameras don't work with the USB-C cable unfortunately, only the cable I showed in this video (Sony Multi-Port GMC-S2) geni.us/godox_gmc_s2 I also asked Godox if they could send me a USB-C to test out anyways, but they confirmed that Sony cameras only work with the Sony cable. I can't speak for the Canon R5 though because I just have the 4 Sony Cams, (which only Charge and Stream through USB-C). Hope this helps!

The monitor specs says it supports input upto 4k 30p. So what happens when we are recording 4k 60p, does it still show the image on the monitor or it says no signal?

That's strange. Your camera is newer than my FX3. Which Camera Control cable did you get? The Sony Multi-Port or the USB-C cable? I'm using the Sony cable.

You can't. I have an A7IV, and my Godox monitor GM6S cannot perform camera controls other than zoom in-out, focus in-out, and recording. This is not a good product. It is not compatible with the latest Sony cameras. The camera control features they advertise (ISO, aperture, focus area, etc.) are merely marketing gimmicks. If you look at their website (which is well-hidden), you'll find that the compatibility list is only available for very old cameras, not all models. Don't fall into the same trap as me :(. Instead, consider buying the Atomos Shinobi or Ninja V/V+. in this video you can see that this guy attempts to use the camera controls beyond what I mentioned earlier, especially at 8:44. However, clicking the ISO button and tapping on it doesn't make any changes. In conclusion, the camera control feature fails. Furthermore, the touch screen only works for navigating the menu and does not function properly when attempting to touch-focus. Only for accessing the "features" that are advertised but ultimately fail to deliver.

Thanks for this video Mate! Not sure if you could help me. I just bought the GM6S monitor and tried to install a few LUTs. I did copied the .cube-Files on my SD card and loaded them on the monitor. Under "LUT Manage" I was able to see the .cube-Files in the directory, selected them and clicked on "Import". However, when I switch to "LUT load" the LUT's are not shown to be selected there. I tried also a factory reset of the monitor, no success. Do you probably have any idea what the issue might be?

Sounds like you are doing it right. A lot of these monitors cant read nig cards, like 64GB, etc. Try using a really small capacity SD card, like 8GB or less. I think I used a 2GB Micro SD card, inside an SD card reader for that same reason.

Thanks. It's not a battery hog by any means. For batteries, I use slim NPF batteries that last 1.5-2 hours, for lighter weight. Then I use huge NPF batteries that can last all day. Or depending on your rig, you can use a USB-C cable and a Power Bank.

HI! NO, unfortunately I could not get it to work with my ZV-e10, because that camera doesn't have the Multi-Port that the Alpha cameras have. 😕 I asked Godox to send me a USB-C cable to test this out with the ZV and they said nahh, we already sent you a Sony cable, lol

I haven't tried the Portkeys. This monitor has an Auto Focus mode and a Manual focus mode, but I'm not sure about Touch Focus because I couldn't get them to work properly with the FX3. It served as PowerZoom or Clear Image Zoom. I can only speak from a Sony user perspective. I'm not sure which camera brands can use ALL of the functions yet, because I don't have any Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Panasonic (or the Control cables that go with each camera). Hopefully someone will get their hands on it and update us in this comment section!

I have the FX3 using the Portkeys LH5P II and tap to focus with all camera controls work (such as focus, ISO, shutterspeed, etc). I've been looking everywhere for those types of controls from a field monitor and the Portkeys is the only one I came across that does a good enough job. The menu system is a little clunky which is my main gripe. But I'd recommend the Portkeys over the Godox if you want full control of your FX3.

No, nothing compares. The Ninja V is my main monitor when I'm on big shoots or working with crew on sets. I don't Consider many monitors in the same class as my Atomos because you can record ProRes and RAW straight onto an SSD. Nothing else really can really do that. Plus I have a metal Smallrig cage on my Ninja which makes it more rugged and dependable if it were to take a fall.
