Display manufacturers really need to get together and form a standard for this. There is a lot of surface area if this will work through the lcd and if not, I'm ok with a bezel if it means fully wireless display. That little stick works at 20m, all you'd need is around 10m for a very large room. I'm sure 10-15 antennas that size would fit around a bigger display.

@@Keego0201 the problem with wireless electricity is that it's extremely wasteful, and the charge can be easily picked up by electronics that you don't want, rather than the ones that you do want. The only way you could resolve this would be to create something like a 5g tower which creates beams of focused energy that are directed toward other antennas, but since these would likely be of a higher degree of of intensity, they might have even shorter reach than 5G towers. I'll just keep it cheap by plugging things in directly.

Several things make me nervous about completely wireless systems. 1) at some point the microwave bands that carry the signals will become saturated and will interfere with each other 2) troubleshooting such systems is a headache 3) Hacking these signals is a growth industry. Maybe it's a good idea to use wired systems where they're convenient and wireless systems where they are convenient.

I get the convenience but I want a wireless future to be optional. I feel like it would personally be a pain to pair a BT headset with all of your devices instead of just using a 3.5mm headphone jack to instantly connect it. Not to mention better sound quality (or no BT compression and codecs, correct me if I am wrong). I just like wires right now because it ties even our legacy devices together, which I use a lot. No headphone jack on a phone kills it for me.

Re: Sponsor: Dude, I love your hokey/goofy sponsor segues. It's a year late, sure, but well-done sponsor messages that make me giggle are something the world needs more of. Re: Review: I really like how you have unscripted parts of your reviews (like giggles about how sketch the company seemed). You're brutal when something is bad, but genuinely excitedwhen something is good, like the range testing ("holy baneyneys" indeed). It helps assure me that what you're saying about a thing is genuine and honest (which, frankly, isn't as common as you'd hope). Plus, you put stuff through "stupid but reasonable" tests, knowing that how/where you use stuff in real life in a home is anything but straight-line and interference-free. As someone with a love/hate relationship to all the electronic stuff I have to use/fix, it's wonderful to see genuine delight and enjoyment of the process of building, using, and testing gadgets out. Put plainly, I really like your review style, and appreciate it (even for stuff I could never afford).
