It takes a strong man to admit his mistakes. Also better for us is the way you explain your train of thought because it's more instructive than the slick pap that is usually served up to the KZbin public. Hats off to you sir!

Thank you. Yes I agree more can be learned through an error than smooth sailing, and why not share. Cheers.

it's never a fail when you learn something and realize the mistake you have done. It's what engineers do and the crucial part is to be able realize that and and not to get dragged into continuing something we know will probably not work on serve the intended purpose. I like the aproach you take in your projects and hope you're channel grows because it deserves it. keep up the good work mate

Thank you. More thought less haste.

Shame it didn't work out but sometimes that's part of the experience, certainly for me. Nice to see someone stop and reassess rather than plough on regardless. Good luck with the new design.

- Hi. Yes just silly to continue down a path you can see is flawed. Cheers.

Have you considered using the 1SHEELD shield for providing the interface to a smartphone for the mk2? Keeps it all Arduino. iOS version of 1Sheeld due soon, I purchased one this week but not had chance to set it up and test yet.

- Hi. Thanks for the tip. I hadn't seen that product before. I've taken a quick look and although it would work, the 1Sheeld appears more about using the phone's built in sensors and using them to interact with the arduino. I'll look into it a bit more before I choose a solution. Cheers.
