That's a thing where AE is very complicated... combining 3D Text AND shadows is not a thing that "just works".

Duplicate the 3D text layer, place it on the ground. Make it black/gray and reduces the opacity, add some gaussian blurr on it. Little bit quick and dirty but it does the job.

After I watch your videos i feel insanely confident I can do all this step by step on after effects, then I open the program and i find myself staring at the screen for 10 minutes trying to remember the steps. When we reach a 3D point there is a wide open door, it's Cinema 4D, just by few click make everything shiny brighter nicer. everyone could earn easily if they are coming with a middle level at Adobes such as ae.

Hi Kelsey. Thanks for this great tutorial. However… I really do struggle with a couple things. (1) lighting. So awkward. I feel like I just futz around with it, not really knowing what I’m doing until I just spontaneously get it. But that strategy takes way too long, and I’d like to actually exhibit some skill… not luck. (2) I understand the concept of three point perspective… been a graphic design professional for over 30 years. But often when I am designing a title such as these, the perspective is not always correct, to me it actually feels like the text is on a curve. The extruded depth of the text should be consistent from one side of the text to the other, but it’s totally not. Does this have to do with my Camera setup? Do you have other lighting tutorials? Thank you.

Thank you 🙂 EDIT: I found the issue. Needed update, now it works. ----- I dont seem to have this cinema 4d plugin. How can i install it? Im using Adobe Pro membership so its version 2023. Ive googled and they say one has to install it over the cloud app. But i dont see anything with Cinema 4d there. Any tips? If i try to change renderer to Cinema 4d on the dropdown, nothing will happen. And if i create new c4d file an error comes up, saying its not compatible.

Duplicate the clip in premiere, right click on clip in timelien and send to After Effects using Dynamic Link.

@@PremiereGal Thank you, I've given that a shot and attempted a couple other strategies to make this happen for me. Unsuccessful. Me thinks the problems lie deeper. I think I need to consider a real upgrade in my computer. I'm dying over here and would like to move on to a computer system that 1) will not require a refinance of my home, and 2) will not, in the foreseeable future be the weak link in my efforts to produce content. Currently only courting 8 Gb of RAM, I suspect that's my issue. But I haven't been able to make After Effects do JACK SQUAT for me. F*&^*&^*&*. I have an amazing vision and I want to make it happen dammit!

Hi Gal! I love your tut vids, I am studying PP and AE. I am just wondering.... If we (videcreators) look for any templates and sample effects, transitions, solutions from the web (for example motioncan) or from hundred of services, and we build their tools into our videos, then should we think, that we were not the persons, who performed the final results? The honor is not ours in these cases, not? Not the piece by piece building up is the real work to worth the honor? I know i a talking against myself, but is would like to know your opinion. Thank you
