YES!! and you're right, once you change over to the prograde fast card readers, you wont look back! I have the one that's slotted for: CF Express Type-A and SD UHS-II. *TIP make sure to pair this with a usb-C Gen 2.1 cable for max speed potential!

I have the Sony ecm-b1, sometimes my audio records ch1 and ch2 separately, I don’t really know how to explain it, maybe stereo audio? but then it always switched back to mono, and the audio quality isn’t as good. It’s hit or miss, I’m not sure if I’m explaining it properly. Some recordings have stereo audio recorded so you can clearly hear where every sound is coming from (so if someone is talking to the left of the frame, you’d hear it to the left a bit, kinda like 360)

Yeh from the reviews I’ve seen it sounds worse than a rode videomic go II, but maybe it’s just the post processing?

I find my PD Field Pouch invaluable - it's still not perfect though. I wish they would make a slightly roomier one .

Hey bud, big fan. Have a question. We film a lot of weddings, we own (6) FX3's and a bunch of lenses. We film on RS3s and some handheld. Im trying to find the best possible monitor to film with. Any recommendations?

Portkeys p6 is my fav 5 inch smaller monitor. Great tools, tiny bezels. Physical on/off switch so you can power it from something else and not have to push a button to turn it on

Replacing my drone is not the most urgent expense I could do... But when travelling I have so much gear, having smaller stuff would help... AND the dedicated screen would def be a blessing for the 'time to be operational'. Anyway, cool video. Thanks.

You don’t need it but you’ll love it once you have it. I went from sigma 24-70 to Sony gm, to now the gm ii. Don’t regret, something about the Sony and how it renders images

What lav mics do you use with your DJI Wireless Mic's? I also have been using several Tascam Dr-10L for weddings but think it's about time I try the DJI. Will the lav mics from the Tascam work good with the DJI? If not then what's the best? After posting this question above, I researched this question on B&H and found this answer under the Q&A section for the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System, is this answer in fact true? "The Tascam TM-10LB Lavalier Microphone that is included with the Tascam DR-10L Micro Portable Audio Recorder is not compatible for use with the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder. The TM-10LB has a locking 3.5mm connector and the mic input on the transmitter requires a standard, non-locking connector. From our testing, we found that one of the best sounding lavalier mics is the Shure MOTIV MVL Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # SHMVL35MM). No adapters are required, just plug it in and it works very well with the DJI Mic transmitters. Answered by Lisa Staff Nov 16, 2022"

I use rode lavs, can’t remember the names of them but they are around $70-90 each. In regards to the tascam lav - yeh it won’t work because of the screw lock connector on the end

Just a caution about wireless mics. If you are in a remote area with little to no reception the mics won't operate. Always keep the tascams in your gear just incase ✌️

@@tjamesmedia. Thx Tony, yes great advise! I have learned my lesson in the past about things like this. I try to make my kit as redundant as possible with backups for just about everything! My motto is, I'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Especially for anything that's a paid gig. Merry Christmas sir!

Hello for real estate I got the 16-35 g master lens and I have had some agents say they don’t feel like I am making the room big enough. Have you used any ranges from 12mm-15mm would you say 16 is the standard or? Thank you I have a a74 trying to decide which lens to get. There is a 12-24 g master as well?

16 is absolutely standard. You shouldn’t need much more unless the rooms are small

Really enjoying your incredibly useful videos since finding you a few months ago. You are rapidly becoming my favourite to watch! Quick Q which you probably won’t have time to answer, but when using the White Balance device, and I have a Sony A7S iii, do you go into the main Video mode to get Custom white Balamce then switch back into say your M1,2 or 3? I’m going to buy that device as for photos I can do Custom White Balance easily but I don’t understand still how to use Custom White Balance using a Grey card for Video recording :( any advice would be appreciated as using that device shown I’ll still have the same challenge and I’m sure you have a great way around this !!

appreciate you and the kind words! So i actually don't really use the custom dials 1,2,3 much anymore simply because you cant use the custom white balance feature within those, has to be in the main video mode (video symbol on dial) what i do instead is assign a custom button to change between video frame rates. Bit of a longer way of doing it but for when you need a custom WB theres no other way. In terms of how to set one using a grey hard head to white balance in the FN menus, scroll down to the bottom and theres three customizable ones there you can set, click right (on D pad) when hovering above one of these in the menus and then hold the grey card in front of your camera lens, move the little box to where the grey card is and click ok (centre on dial) it will register the information in that box and set the WB properly for you. Again, only can be done in the video mode. hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

Ok I’ll give that a try and thanks for confirming I’m not losing my mind as I just couldn’t work out how to use Custom WB for Video which is nuts considering you can for Photo?! Anyway thanks ever so much and keep the Videos coming although you are starting to cost me a fortune lol. Take care.

The peak design messenger sling bags convert to be worn around the waist...I use mine as a messenger when doing street and around my waist when doing events.
